Excellent thoughts and techniques on memorizing. This was the beauty of being at university because we could always drag someone into our practice room. I always tell my students to use their videocameras and play the piece (I teach piano) because sometimes even pressing the record button on the camera instills just a bit of nerves that will reveal a weak spot.
