  • I'm down.

  • Whats so special about them being christian? most rappers i see wear jesus peices, so why are these guys so different??

  • As christian rappers, I wonder why they feel they needed to photoshop spinners on the semi trick and choose that backdrop for their for their video. Just interesting is all.

  • When I first Heard this Song in BET like 5 years ago...i was wow...I downloaded a bunch of songs...to my surprise, didnt know they were christian rappers...lol...Lessoned learned, give every song a chance 8^P

  • There is NO such animal as "Christian Hip Hop"! It is a misnomer. There is nothing even remotely "Christian" about the Devil's music. Christian Hip Hop has amassed a large cult following of worldly young people who idolize such Satanic performers as Antonious,Gospel Gangstaz, GRITS,Flame, Leacrea KJ-52, tobyMac,T-Bone.These "artists" are imposters who EXPLOIT the name of Jesus to make money. lots of money!

  • @serenityluvsgod i am an atheist, and i don't see any devil in hip hope music. i think is the way people carry themselves what makes them evil. kind of like being in the choir choir and picking up prostitutes. I just don't see anything here related to Jesus himself. and I thought of this coming from an Atheist perspective. You do evil, you have darkeness in your life. Pretty simple

  • @serenityluvsgod While I listen to *extremely little* hip hop, what exactly makes it devils music in an of itself? I can't recall Jesus or Paul speaking on such matters.

  • @serenityluvsgod you are a loser and what type of music do you like because everyone has their own way of worshiping christ you're just a hater

  • Comment removed

  • they are going to sit in golden thrones, and have all sorts of jewelry when they are crowned in heaven. i am just going to be allowed to worship Satan. :)

  • what difference does it make if someone smokes weed, it is their own personal relationship with jesus and no one on this earth has the right to judge that

  • @sodanakin you believe people with religion is slavery? your wrong, slavery is something forced, we Christians/"slaves" choose to believe in GOD because we know da truth!!!!!! CAN I GET AN AMEN?

  • @lifeafterdeath777 --AMEN --- "Don't Move at a slow pace / hand us a mike we move the whole place / this for each and every hood / 18th ave, wedgewood, / southside, clean cut, tell me who want it / tell me what you know that's good"

God Is Good, and people would realize this if their eyes, mind and heart are open, by choice, to Him.....

  • @lifeafterdeath777 you can get "your mom" off this dick cause im done with her

  • @lifeafterdeath777 AMEN!!!

  • i love this song

  • oh and i dont believe in anything and no im not an atheist im myself ;) i follow my rules my things NO CRAPPY RELIGION FOR ME I dont fucking care about god cause if he would excist he would do a freaking thing but nah hes just a cancerous lazy basterd ;)

  • @sodanakin that's cute man, but may i ask why your watching a christian music video then?

  • @christfohforever because I dont care about religions im only here for the music ;)

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!

  • All religions are fake =.=

  • @sodanakin good thing Christian isn't a religion it's a lifestyle

  • @deejayskusee13 LOL .... just believe that slave of a religion ;)

  • i hate when the top comment is an @____________ cus then you have to go look for their comment

  • Always remember: You CAN be a christian and STILL HAVE FUN......

  • i love this song and used to watch this music video all the time, lol! grits <3.

  • This was my first Christian Rap song.

  • Lecrae and Trip Lee and all of those new artists are good and all, but I first heard a Grits song in like 1st grade on a tv special on those old music stations. These guys are my favorite Christian rappers ever.

  • secular music ftllllllll. CHRIST muzik FTW

  • Use to watch this in Sunday school. :P

  • ¡¡¡¡¡PARA LA GLORIA DE DIOS!!!!!

  • this one my favorites!

  • I luv this whole CD it's thunder.

  • I love this whole CD. I bought it and everybody thinks it rap lol

  • @lightbrowneyesusa IT IS RAP WHAT IT SUSPOSE TO BE.

  • @rebekahreed2007 YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN THE RAP THAT YOU HEAR ON THE RADIO, NOT CHRISTIAN RAP.

  • @lightbrowneyesusa Well ok, but not really.. Rap is a genre and only lable that. Even on the radio you hear christian rap. But you talking about lil wayne and Drake and all them. then it secular rap.

  • POOR RIGHTEOUS TEACHERS > GRITS

TEACH YOUR KIDS ABOUT THE NGE

    5%

    PEACE GOD

    POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

  • @dirmaster0 This song is about going out and reaching the people.. Listen to the lyrics. Hittin curves is about going out and preaching and representing every inch of every curve by spreading Christ. So i don't know about you but im am Hittin Curves.

  • this is my jam!!!!!!

  • Hittin Cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurvvvveee!!!!

  • I always thought GRITS is what the Nappy Roots would sound like if they were Christian...

  • other bands that i have recently researched and found out these type of things about. once agen im not ur perfect christian but i do belive that if your going to preach it you should live it other wise your just another hypocrite

  • ok so to every body that bashed my comment on herei wasnt saying that they deffinatly arent christian. i mean i love there music i love there lyrics but im just kinda getting sick of bands claiming to be christian yet in intervews they swear there heads off and in there real life they drink and smoke pot more than the people they are trying to get saved. now let me save my self from getting more comments on this by saying that in what i just said i wasnt refering to grits im refering to a few

  • @ELMOxCRUNK i agree man too many bands are so called christians, not pounting any fingers either :D

  • @Nadrojaw thank you finally some body sees my point lolz

  • ok so to every body that bashed my comment on herei wasnt saying that they deffinatly arent christian. i mean i love there music i love there lyrics but im just kinda getting sick of bands claiming to be christian yet in intervews they swear there heads off and in there real life they drink and smoke pot more than the people they are trying to get saved. now let me save my self from getting more comments on this by saying that in what i just said i wasnt refering to grits im refering

  • hahaha the rims are fake

  • @mapexqr1 if the rims were not fake, I would be disappointed. How many people can you help with that much money?

  • yes this group does consider them selfs cristian but i consider them poser cristians. they realy think that not swearing in there songs and randomly and rarly sticking things about god makes them cristians yet in another music vid they show people drinking beer and smoking cigars and gambling and the 1 guy is wearing a bob marly shirt. now im not ur perfect cristian and i have my strugles but i dont agree w/ those type of things bing in a "cristian" music video

  • @ELMOxCRUNK i believe that they are christian, if your talking about open bar were they are drinking, they're not talking about beer their talking about holy water, or the bible, using the drinking as symbol!,

i am glad to see that im not the only one who can see that a band isn't nesecarily christian because they say they are,

  • @ELMOxCRUNK You didn't even spell Christian correctly?! "He who be without sin cast the first stone". They were making a point with the video called Open Bar, they are not supporting drinking. And about the Bob Marley shirt, I believe you are being stereotypical they are wearing a shirt. I am willing to bet that you are inferring that they support marijuana but Bob Marley was a great musician and it is okay to support his music without supporting his life choices.

  • Comment removed

  • @ELMOxCRUNK I guarantee that you watch and enjoy movies with actors who then go and get drunk and then get DUIs and just act foolish. Since you watch their movies are you just like them or do you support their choices? So I would carefully evaluate the inferences you make about someone just because of a shirt. Who are you to judge anyways? I could make inferences about you since the word "crunk" is in your username? Think about it...

  • @ELMOxCRUNK your obviously just dumb and ignorant because if your smart you would see that in every one their songs there is a 'meaning' in it. They dont necessarily need to have references to the bible or have words that refer to Christianity, they sing about things that have a Christian meaning it so they dont just 'rarely stick things about god' in their songs. So kid i recommend you think before typing.....

  • @ApachePieman ok dude just shut ur mouth im not dumb or ignorant. i understand that i was just sayin

  • @ELMOxCRUNK XD sure your not dumb - how does this even make sense - "i understand that i was just sayin" read it aloud kid couz you mighta forgotten how to properly set up a sentence with correct grammar. Your reply makes no sense. :P

  • @ELMOxCRUNK That kind of thinking is why CHH may never minister to people outside the church. If your not liking the way they bring a clean message to people than you should find other artists who fit your style instead of putting these guys down. It's not right to judge someone like that and flat out call them fake Christians because they have a t-shirt of marley.

  • Honestly, I think the meaning of this song gets lost with them driving in Vegas and rapping in front of the rims, pretty materialistic if you ask me. I love christian rap and Grits just not liking the video. Some one who keeps it real is Lecrae. Very down to earth and keeps God first.

  • @thebrigadetx whats wrong with vegas and rims.

  • i know rap, i know christianity, i encourage mixing them both, but this song gets boring fast

    sorry...

  • Grits got me into rap ; D

  • c

    co

    coo

    cool

    coo

    co

  • @ShaniAlexandra Jesus loves being glorified, tru, through most means including christian rap sure but hip hop is its own religion the word itself means "Booty shakin" hip...hop.. hoppin hips get it. and that def doesnt glorify God. christian rap has a completely different connotation. ya dig?

  • "countin' blessings like rocks"...lol

  • love this song. And it's not just about cars etc, go listen to / read the lyrics before judging. Besides. Jesus likes hip hop.

  • yep rap

  • is this video from gospel mix? haha i think i have that DVD

  • @googoomoomooquackTWO

I think it's called Hip Hope Hits.

  • @horned frog- not only that, but they have the courage to not be the stereotypical "rapper' of the 2000's. The GRITS don't promote or glorify the Earthly possessions/desires and temptations that main stream hip hop now a days does. SO many in that industry just gives what the world WANTS to hear instead of what it NEEDS to hear. I've listened to hip hop my whole life and I still love rappers like LL, RunDMC, Biggie, Tupac, WuTang, etc...but hip hop in the last 10 yrs has taken a dump

  • @kalinowski7 if they weren't into earthly things, then why they reflect the opposite?

  • Awful ''rap''. Back to Blu & Exile.

  • they mrege the stuff christians are afraid to acknowledge and talk about. thats why i like them. they are afraid to go where people dont wanna go and provide a testimony that is understood by those of us who arent attracted to the stereotypical christian philosophy. right where its at

  • please don't be too hard on Girts, God gave them the mission of talking to the average unsaved man in the worldly language they can understand, so that they can take the next step to Christianity.

  • pff are you stupid? man

  • How are these singers Christians? Who cares if they have nice shiny cars or cool clothes and such. All these money worshipers are singing about is wealth, girls, and how cool they are. The Lord Jesus get no glory in this song ): Hip hop is actually a name of a demon.

  • @serenityluvsgod

    uummmm.....?

ignorance and arrogance makes me blush at the word christian

after kicking drug and self abuse addictions it angers me beyond belief to here those supposed to be brothers and christ spew this narrowminded generalizations to exclude and condemn all that arent in there own little church group

you give no glory and you limit god to your own perspective, stop talking because the person i used to be would only be further pushed away, try loving

    it helps

  • @hornedfrogmusic234 grits are awesome because most hardcore sinners will not just covert to Christianity just like that. grits bridge the gap between the completely holy and completely unholy. just like alcohol and drug addiction most sinners need to be wined off their evil ways. and grits is the Nicolette patch for the average sinner to fully convert to Christ.

  • sinon elle déchire

  • mettre des spinner sur des jantes de camion....

  • I agree with GrImR3aP3r916 they do look like they glorifying material items

  • For A Christian Rapper Pretty Good!

  • dis song would be fun to danz to <3 grits are a hawt band!!

  • best christian rappers ever

  • Some people just can't live without being critical of every little thing. These guys are doing something postive with the talent they were given.

  • there are people who had been christened few days after birth, are christians, stick to the Comandements with all thier heart and LOVE hip hop - its rhythm and energy. There needs to be music for us, and this is it! Don't spoil the fun!

  • I totally disagree with steelerfan2004, Grits is no more trying to make it big than any other christian artist. Jus because their style appeals more to the hip-hop culture means nothing they are no more secular the Casting Crowns or Mercy Me. I currently have over 10 different gospel hip-hop artists among my music collection and i can honestly say they are more christian than other artist that i have heard that claim to be christian.

  • Steerlerfan, i appreciate the fact that you want to be careful with artist that call themselves Christians and that is commendable but i think there is some misunderstanding... have you read all of Grits music? Have you ever really done inner city ministry and i'm not talking about two week missions trips to some tough neighborhood, i'm talking about living in that neighborhood and ministering to people? An understanding of culture is huge in understanding why Grits functions the way they do

  • Sorry, meant to say (all their works!) So, an artist may have a painting of the sky as one of their works. You could argue for days that they weren't Christians because their painting didn't display Jesus somehow but my question is how did it not? What if they were speechless by the beauty of his creation when they painted that painting? Christians that have to stick a cross or make sure they say the name Jesus in each song isn't making it Christian, the words, point, &message of the song are!

  • @expresstrust you are so right not to mention songs that come from non christian artist that mention jesus dosen't mean its a christian songchristian

  • There is a big misunderstanding on what it means to be a Christian artist, which is why so many people make money making everything from supposedly christian candles to earings. You don't put a cross on something and then it becomes Christian... Just like you don't look at one painting done by an artist, searching for the cross or the Bible or one of the symbols we Americans have labeled as christian to see if it is Christian. You have to look at all there works.

  • the only thing that bothers me about grits is that they look too much like secular rappers. I think the song has a good meaning, idk..

  • How do you "look" secular?????????????????

  • Expensive rims, chains, women dancing, nice car... I mean I love the guys and their music, but that to me is giving off the wrong image. God isn't about material things, and even if they don't mean to, it just seems like they're glorifying it in this video

  • @GrImR3aP3r916 You suggest they should wear sandals?

  • @Christiaan33 I don't think you understand my point. The rap/hip-hop culture puts a high value on expensive "Expensive rims, chains, women dancing, nice car" as I said before. Christians are new creations, if you don't listen to the lyrics, Grits could very well look secular. Like I've said before, I love Grits and I do think they do a whole lot of good. I mean, it's a car about driving- unless you try to analyze it.. stinks that some artists feel like they have to disguise the message of Jesus

  • @GrImR3aP3r916 I think this even goes further then christianity, it is an creative artist turning commercial & shallow. Conforming to Capitalism and losing their own identity. It happens everywhere, whatever faith a person is. It's capitalism sucking our souls. I say "Keep it real!"

  • @Christiaan33 Yeah, I mean I just listen to Lecrae or Sho Baraka and their lyrics are crammed full of "Jesus" and bible verses. That's what I like to see. They are straight forward and don't try to put in clever analogies and symbolism into their songs. But, Grits are better than 99% of the other people out there, so they still get major props.

    peace

  • @GrImR3aP3r916 I don't see anything wrong with a Christian artist makin' songs that aren't specifically Christian. They should be clean and morally sound, sure, but not every song has to "Christian," y'know?

  • @HarryMoose91 As Lecrae rapped in the song "Nothing", "I know you'll probably be impressed if I cleverly use my melody to share Christ without using his name heavily. But i'd rather be saying his name so much you could never get me confused or discredit me""Cat's say they gon' change the game. This is Christian rap, why they barely use the savior's name?" I agree, Christian artists making songs that don't specifically talk Christ is fine just as long as they aren't glorifying something else. <3

  • Keep Reppin The Lord Guy's!!

    God Bless!!

  • did u know other hip hop groups like Toby Mac and POD and T-Bone have sung songs about their life or have sung songs without mentioning god? groups like newsboys and guys like kevin max, michael w. smith, chris tomlin, etc, dont always sing christian songs. just because they are not singing a christian song doesnt mean they're not christians. if anything steelerfan, you're being judgemental and thats what god doesnt want you to do.

  • btw tupac and grits are way different

  • the grits try to hard.. they need jesus

  • i think the HOLY spirit speaks for itself the bible saids in psalm 18 verses 49 "therefore i will praise you among the nations,O LORD I will sing praises to your NAME. whoooooow just like grits is doing praise and singing unto to his name.. sorry to brake it to you but grits is no different then 2-pac "keep your head up".

  • I think you can't judge them because of what They sound like. You have to realize and see that they were raised on the streets. When a person is used to street life and they come to christ they're still going to have somethings that are from their raising. They are very different from Tupa keep your head up. Very different.

  • wow i see jesus threw these guys ..............hmmmmmm are they christian cause this guys made me wanna party drink and get laid . i dont hear JESUS and some scripter in there songs... there vid is the same as jayz

  • you sir are a toolbelt

  • hmmmm are you a christian? Cause I dont hear JESUS or scripture in your words. You're comment is the same as the worlds. I am sorry you judge others according to the production and creativity or lack there of in their music.

  • if you dont follow the bible your not obeying his word if Jesus tells you walk on the yellow brick road dont walk on the green.. the bible said praise his name ,worship him ... not your girlfriend but if you do then dont say its a christian song ... sorry but all the GLORY is TO GOD ..thank you

  • Who said anything about worshiping their girlfriend? Dont put words in my mouth or take me out of context. I never said anything to the contrary of people not obeying the word of God. If you have a difficult time with your girlfriend, you might ask a friend for advice or pray about.... musicians write songs about it, because it is their form of expressing their given emotion, God created emotions, and God created music. You dont know what your talking about.. i am done with. Say what you will.

  • sorry if i hurt your ego buddy ..but take like a man ...worship ,praise, prayer, its all for the glory of GOD . Please read Psalms 18:49 ..please read it and learn........by the way how you like em apples??

  • C un monstre cette music!

  • i really like this song !!!

  • my man coffee and pettidee is da bomb

  • yer it is why???

  • is this a christian rap group?

  • Yes. GRITS is a Cristian rap/hip hop group. They remind me a little of Outkast.

  • i know they are a christian group but i dont really hear many god/jesus references in their music

  • ooh aah mentions it a bit

  • I think the overall message of the song is about turning your life around for Christ!

Hittin Curves. Doing a U turn. Changing your life and following Christ. I think its a pretty sweet song aye.

  • i know this may sound odd, but i've heard some Christian music that doesn't even reference God/Christ at all. with grits, you also have to either listen carefully for the lyrics or read them to get the whole meaning

  • There is tons of them read the lyrics

  • 8. jk, I just have nothing better to do

  • is his name grits or is that the name of the

    album?

  • his name

  • so wuts the album called?

  • dichotomy A

  • Dichotomy A

  • thx

  • grits is an acronym which stands for "Grammatical Revolution In The Spirit". The artist's are Stacy "Coffee" Jones and Teron "Bonafide" Carter.

  • There's a difference between A christian band and a band/group with members that are Christian I don't really consider these guys a Christian band

  • Ha they are a Christian Band. Each person designs their own song to how they feel it effects their music. Grits has a lot of songs that define God. Like their songs LoveChild and Fly Away

  • dude i had this album when i was 8...i was listening to "my life be like" and the group sounded familiar

  • god gon git u
