  • Fantastic experiment! It only proves that, visually, the theories about magnets were true!

Of course there was other experiments, but this is more of a live action view of the magnetic field.

  • eE€ ???

  • I too am tired of 'brailleing' magnetic fields....how much for one of these wonders?

    TS

  • Hello from AUS have tryed to get lens in AUS a year ago but could'nt do you know if this product has foll patient yet ? ps nice work.

  • What does ferofluid have to do with anything? Can you explain the this sweet thing.

  • WoW! Amazing! Now we can really SEE (literally) a magnetic field, as predicted by Maxwell equations. How is this experiment? Can this experiment be home-made?

  • This experiment could be homemade. You need some ferrofluid and optic quality glass. Since I have patented the device, I'm not going to say exactly how to do it, but if you use your head and your hands I'm sure you could duplicate it.

  • Amazing.

Consider, however, that your patent will hold back progress.

You would be better off simply going into business and making the highest quality version of this product. Chinese companies won't obey the patent anyway.

  • @pinestonemtn

Surely you jest... Because to really have a patent you had to fully disclose the invention

so that "someone of ordinary skills trained in the art" can replicate your invention.

This is the base requirement in order to obtain a patent, which then becomes publicly available

and anyone and every is free to replicate it for their own personal use.

A patent merely allows a patent hold to prevent others from re-selling the invention.

  • You can make a crude version- put iron filings into a baby oil bottle(in the oil) and clean off the labels. The filings will float in 3D and react to magnetic fields- i don't remember where i saw this, but it's cool!

  • Nice! Thanks

  • wow! way cool way to see flux fields.

  • This is a very nice demonstration.

However, it would be beneficial to us viewers if you could rotate the camera about the plates so we could get a sense of the 3D effect.

Could you make a new video and position the magnet and panels stationary, and then pan the camera 180 degrees (or more) around them?

    Thanx

  • Looks like saran wrap and orange lighting to me.

  • I never though of that. Try it and get back to me :>

  • Wow! How are you doing that? Your explanation?..... What is that about a vacuum? Obviously not where you are holding and moving the magnets. No, I have never seen anything like that before. :) Nice!

  • Thanks for the good comments. The vacuum is between the glass plates. It's a nano-universe of chaotic activity...electrons being kicked off into an ionic state.

  • Ok, but I don't see any glass plates and if I did, I still wouldn't have any idea how to ionize an electron... isn't that impossible as an electron already has a charge by definition. Whether I understand or not, your video is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Looking forward to what you do in the future.

  • Whoa, very very cool.

I would call that space the magnetic potential

of a four poled magnetic field of a

QUADRAPOLE. You can see the 4 corners clearly when the

two magnets attract to each other, and you

hold it as far apart as you possible can

and its like you are viewing an X or a + sign.

  • optic glass flats (2). Nanoferroparticles suspended in a colloidal. Sealed in a vacuum. Backlighting. I'm holding two 1.2 Tesla cylinder neo's on either side of the glass, and recording the whole thing on my little canon s230 digital camera.

  • nice some instructions?...materials?

  • What optomagnetic material are you using and where can I get some? :)

  • Very cool lens !!!!

  • great stuff pinestone :-)

  • Wow, how are you viewing that?
