Nice tops but lets be real, Machine is the shit...mad funk and did his tops in both directions using crazy style and dancing on beat and dancing to sub beats 99% of bboys dont dance too.. first time iv seen Farid dance so would liked to have see more and a lot of his umph came from his right leg but nice battle think im gonna watch it again!
To whomever went first, meh, good and fast, and insane technique, but he looked at his feet... the whole time. I loved the second guy, pure oldschool, and intimidating by looking the opponent in the face, and the audience.
reminds me of that one toprock battle between mathias and jawad. farid's got mad style but props gotta go to machine: the badass, the legend, the beat eater. however in this battle machine got a bit repetitive.
where are machine s foundation.... i see shit..... same basic everytime... check his 3 sets and try to see what i mean.. you ll see the same step over and over with some little variations that s it. any rocking bgirl and bboy from new york would burn him so bad.
..Both of these dudes got mad style man...Ive seen a handful of machines vids and must admit he is dope but i have only seen this one of farid..Machine has dope tops..but....Farid has this unique style that i havent seen and i admit its tight and want to see what he makes of it in the future..he'd definetly be one to not sleep on..Great battle hands down...
No, my "brother". Their movement and rocking are that of UProcking. Just because they are dancing individually mean that they are toprockin. Understand that the movement pertains.
they're both passionate dancing to hip hop music or anything that carries a nice solid beat, so as long as them uprockers are expressing their souls through hip hop dance we are essentially brothers.
To be honest Farid didn't seem confident, he almost seemed intimidated by machine - he should've done more when it was his set IMO. Respect to both bboys
Machine won because he came out with something different each time and he rocked the beats farely well. Farid had a good toprock and his own original style but he was a little repetitive with his uprock. =P
@gookchild WTF does that even mean? LOL You can distinguish the difference by inventing a crazy vague critique that one guy has technique and the other guy has soul?!? WTF?!? Yo, you need to stop fucking with the weed, get your fucked up brain off of it., Stupid.
@gookchild Hi, yeah, I get a kick out of stupid people, such as yourself, who go by the pretext that a comment, indeed, one such as the one you left will simply remain unrefuted, regardless of the nature of the forum, be it virtual or actual. Mad? Nah--you're not reading it well, nephew. There's none of that whatsoever-incredulity, yes, but that? Please.
@Khultan No need to stress the U in JAGUAR. Farid has swag. You can see it in his style. It's something a lame guy like you would never understand. How mad are you? lol
woow sickest toprock battle i'v seen. They were both awesome, but i still think machine won :) thou the other guy, Farid, was also dope... dunno, maybe a tie? anyways :) GREAT BATTLE!!!
i'm just guessing hearing the crowd , it was very biased towards farid they werent giving maching the do props. i think you 2 make very good arguments for farid and looking at it from that perspective farid looks pretty dope. but hes not hitting the beats as clean as machine. also machine threw farid into space and started to watch him fall.
machine moves are so dope , everything on beat . farid imo didnt even hold his own . if you listen to the beat and watch there movements , machine is hitting everythign. i guess if you going to argue for farid you could say his style was good.
I'am really amazed by both of their toprocks, both had amazing flow and style. I watched this video the first time and subsequent times after than an couldnt believe machine didnt take this one home (I don;t think he won it). I was upset at first because he clearly seemed like he went harder, but looking at it again, you can see that farid did some pretty impressive stuff with the music, AND he was hitting the beat too, just being more intricate and using less space the Machine. Watch his feet
He (farid deserves a lot more credit than I think he's getting in the posts. He was extravegant, different, and moving his legs in ways I think most of us could dream of (pay attention to the foot thats touching the ground - he hits every single of the the horns in both sets). All in all both were dope though, I'd have at least called it a tie. They both killed it in their own. Classic Machine beat-killing style vs. Farid's intricate foot work. Both of them smashed this to pieces
not at all, Machine is a killer, but here Farid was pretty good and original, but Machine could dance like that 20 minutes without a break, here it's 2 minutes, Farid can front him and be proud, but he knows who's the master
Thank goodness for 1/4 speed.
