Messenger4truth is not like-minded or anti-war. Look at all the personal wars he's started here. And more importantly, I'm assuming he's all for this war with Iraq because he told me I should be for it if I cared about the Iraqi people. The fact that he's got a video in this contest, well, that makes him the biggest hypocrite of all.

To clarify my position, I am for peace. This does not mean that I am anti-war. In fact, I do not believe that you can logically support both ideas. I was under the impression that the song referred to the senseless and unsubstantiated wars, as well as the government beaurocrats that put us there. I am confused by any absolute anti-war supporter. The Iraqi people deserve peace and the freedom of rule without tyranny. There was only one way to accomplish this goal....

...Granted this was not the true reason our troops were deployed in the first place, but it seems like a good outcome doesn't it? This "war" the USA is in currently must continue in order to produce peace in a region that has not experienced it in centuries. Who knows if this peace will spread to their neighboring countries? Is our anti-war sentiment more important than another's peaceful uprising? These are just my thoughts, maybe they will give you and everyone something to ponder.

I agree! M4T continually contradicts himself. If he thinks that the war will produce peace that is just crazy. To many people have already died, one of them was my cousin. The war in Iraq has ceased to make any sense. There is a time for everything. At one time this war may have made sense, but now is the time for it to stop.

I respectfully disagree (see Sam, I'm playing nice). This is the only time this "war" has made sense. American casulties are down (sorry for the loss of your cousin), and violence in Iraq is down as well. Wars can, and have, produce peace. If you do not believe me, ask any French native who is 80 years old, or better yet, ask an 80 year old European Jew. If our peace keeping operation in Iraq ends now, it is apparent that our sentiments are more valuable than the Iraqi quality of life.

I am sorry for your loss, but before your cousin entered into the army he/she had to know that there is always a chance that something would happen to them. I actually started to join the air force, but I could not see myself dying an leaving my family grieving like they did when my father died. If we pull everyone out of Iraq now some countries could view that as a weakness an attack the U.S. Again I am sorry for your loss.

Everyone has worked very hard, irrespective of what you seem to think and none deserves the kind of mean-spirited comments that you have been leaving everywhere. If you feel the need to critique, you could chose a much more civil way to do it. Why not try to be encouraging instead of hurtful? Simon Cowell you're not.
