I think it is still mohanam. It is used in a very unsual way ( to show an arrogant kaithapram) than most common usage of mohanam in movies

MGS has indeed sung this song. The CDs have the version with KJY & MGS, but it was felt that the voice of MGS may not suit the charcter played by Kaithpram for this particular situation.Therefore Master himself sung the song with Dasettan. The fact that MGS won the national award is a different thing altogether because those are the ways of jury who sidelined 'Pramadavanam'
