You mean, Quasimodo? They haven't had him out for meet and greet in years. He's only in Disneyland Paris along with the other HoND characters. Esmeralda and Clopin are also considered rare, they only came out for this special event. Frollo is the only regular in all Disney parks.

@VeeVeeNorCalBabe As I had already mentioned in the information about the video, I said it was for the special weekend event of Character Fan Days in January of 2011. Rare characters were voted on Facebook by fans to meet them. Esmeralda & Clopin were one of the winners. They brought in Frollo with them as an added bonus.

It was something completely new. Disney had said that since it was so successful they planned to do it again. Not sure when tho. January has already came and went, no Character Fan Days. Hmmm... Well, I guess we'll see how the remainder of the year plays out. ;)

I had heard this Clopin is usually a Mad Hatter on a regular given day. He was chosen to play Clopin for the weekend event. Not sure which Hatter tho, but how cool anyway tho. ;)

@ChristineJ16 Oh okay! Unfortunately I am not around SoCal during Halloween season :( I live like 30 minutes away from Disneyland but am going to university up in NorCal so I'm only back during summer and mid-December - mid-January...oh well :( One day it will happen though!

Awww, there isn't anyway you could take time off, like maybe a mini vacation or something some time in October? Maybe come down for the weekend? Well, maybe they'll have this character fan day event again in the summer. I have emailed Disney a few times about it, they just said they had nothing confirmed at this time. ;( Here's hoping you do get to meet him someday. ;)

@ChristineJ16 Maybe, but flights are really expensive (about $450 at the cheapest for a round trip!!), and it's an 11 - 12 hour drive. Who knows though. That would be great if they did the character fan days again (and even better if it was at a time when I was around, lol)! Cool that you emailed them. Guess we'll just have to see!

As I mentioned in my information for the video it's at Disneyland in California. It was for the Character Fan Days Family Event in January of 2011. Frollo usually is out for Halloween season, but Clopin and Esmeralda are very rare. They only are available at Disneyland Paris. This event was very successful, Disney had mentioned they wanted to have it again, but nothing has been mentioned as to when yet.

Frollo was brought in as an added bonus since he is a popular villain. Best weekend ever! XD

This was part of a special weekend event. Frollo is the only one who is available for meet and greet, but mainly during Halloween season. Clopin and Esmeralda can only be found in Disneyland Paris. Frollo is a regular over there as well and is allowed out all year long as opposed to waiting till Halloween season here in the US.

I got to meet Esmerelda and Quassimodo back in 1996 during my first trip to Disneyland, and that was the same year the movie came out. I even had a Esmerelda shirt on when i met them :) disneyland is the perfect place ever

What, do you mean the mask? I'd say it's Disney's way to control the character, they wouldn't want him to be able to speak, act all flirty and sing Hellfire to the female guests, lol! He still is flirty to some degree anyway tho, I'm just glad he's still available to meet anyway. ;)

They have had actors before as him, for the stage show. Some even have pulled off the look quite well and were also tall. I think they just don't want to deal with having Frollo speak. It's just easier to put a mask on him and have him stand there.

Yup, I do think that's another reason why they don't really have as many villain face characters as they do with the hero ones. They're not really that friendly so it's just better they stay silent. All the Frollos I have met tho have been really nice so meh, I guess it just depends on the cast member inside. ;)

Yeah, both he and Jafar have that, I don't know what's up with that. It's also become a recent thing. Before both he and Jafar had normal clear nails. Since 2010 they just gave them both pink nails...weird! O_o I don't think the other Disney parks have done that unless they plan on changing that too. Yup, how weird, lol!
