A/J/E has got to be my favorite jazz trio out there. I especially enjoy "Current Events". I first heard that album about 10 years ago and have been playing it ever since. Abercrombie's use of the synth in the 80's really sets him (musically) apart from the crowd in my mind.
I was at one of these shows at the Vanguard. Thanks for the great blast from the past!!!!! Abercrombie, along with Ralph Towner, has always been one of my all time favorites.
