I liked the intro titling/credits though it was rushed. I also like the film look, minus the scratchy lines. To better mimic old school horror films remember the camera is the main actor. It's the little imp or child frequently hiding behind the stair railing or peering through a window, or at the top of the stairs looking down at the action, or vice versa. The music was nice, but add some vibraphone or harpsichord and some deep bassoons, and strings bowed back n forth really fast. (Amicus fan)
@AlanSessler Thanks for tips. I must admit the movie was rushed, I was in a hurry to get it done. There are things I wish I'd done like some more dynamic camera movement (though I felt framing in certain scenes looked quite good) and I also wish I had dubbed over all the dialogue in post. Glad you liked music, I felt it fit quite well with the movie surprisingly. These are definitely some tips I'll be keeping in mind when I make the sequel. Hope you like the rest of the movie.
@jheadSF06 The dubbing is another good idea. Definitely more apparent in Italian horror. It'll be complete silence and sometimes complete noise. I'm pretty sure they even let the sound effects clip when they're recording them, such a no no these days. Keep up the good work and thanks for rocking it old school.
@intercorpse789 Thanks for understanding and be sure to check out some of the new special effects I added to the movie as well as the rotoscoped flames I added to the finale.
@intercorpse789 I have not had a chance to work on it yet. But I will be getting taking time this month to get it prepared. Sorry for taking so long with the movie though, I decided to take some time to improve on some of the special effects and fix any scenes with mirror reflections.
