My lady is a model, and when she was first starting out she worked a cigar convention in Cancún, Mexico. Naturally, there were many dons and experts there, and she picked up some pretty interesting information. When she got home she had brought me a bunch of different samples, and some pretty sharp lighters. I had only ever smoked socially, and still find cigarettes repulsive, but I had tried cigars before, and it was great fun some evenings with a smart drink and company.

I'm 13, I've smoked one cigar already and I'm saving my 2 for my birthday tomarrow. Its a Garcia Y Vega Miniature imported from The Dominican Republic, hand rolled. The first one I had was the same, but it tasted bitter and not very good. Is that just the cigar or am I doing something wrong? I lit it with a Bic lighter like people light cigarettes, breathed in and blew it out. :/ but still tasted bad.

You do not inhale cigar smoke. You keep the smoke in your mouth and enjoy the flavor. Small amounts of cigar smoke will make it to your lungs im sure. If you were to smoke a cigar like a cigarrette you would cough like crazy.

That is not the way you are suppose to use scissors. You snip the edges away ever so gently soas not to disturb thr tobacoo. The way he did it was toaly counter productive. Too agreesive with the cut and took too much off as well. Not to mention he did not light it properly. You can tell when he draws on it that the end is not a full cherry.

I just started smoking cigars. My recommendation to a beginner is get a box of cigarillos then move up from there. It got me use to the taste and made it easier to move up. It might help you as well who knows

@legoman844 It's best to buy a Cigar bullet/punch cuttter, it will leave a small hole & the draw will be smooth. A pocket knife can crack the cigar and if you cut too much off the draw may be harsh, alternatively use a tooth pick & shape the hole.lol, trust me i've tried.

Just get the smoke into your mouth, not too much smoke, and let it roll in your mouth - you should feel the taste... and then let the smoke out off your mouth (and a bit through nose)... After one "pull" of smoke into your mouth you should wait maybe 45 - 60 seconds untill you "pull" the next. Why? The cigar should get colder..being too hot = destroying the taste...

So you don't need to inhale them to get some nicotine into your body.
