i never remember the bassist's name, but i saw them in syracuse a few months or so after leviathan came out and he was the most intense i've ever seen. it was like he told a story in the middle of all the fury going on... looked you right in the eye and made you think "he was there, on those boats, he saw it all." never seen a performer so impressive since.
