I am a HUGE Ghostbusters fan, but this scene still makes me mad to this day! Why in the world would you go down there without your packs when you know full well that the PKE readings were OFF THE SCALE when you scanned it in the street earlier that day? That should have told you that SOMETHING was down there, especially, when you saw the river of slime earlier on! Omg...LOL! That makes me so MAD! But, this part is HILARIOUS!

@ShadowSonic2 It may have if Egon switched the beams to have an effect on solid manifestations instead of transparent ghosts since that was not what they were dealing with. But, you can never be too prepared. They could have still fallen into the slime anyway. But, then again...maybe its good they didn't have the packs. After they got out of the slime, they almost killed each other just but fighting.

Here is somethign some might find interesting, The old "Pneumatic transit" was a real thing, check it out, it was open from 1870-1873 for a testing stage. it was a good idea, but a little early for its time. The movie even gives a good idea as to what it really looked like from what very few pictures they are of the place and from drawings.
