  • i wonder what happens if this guy fingers a girl lol !!!

  • you are very comfortable with this song.

    melody! tune. good!

  • Spoiler: At the end the ship is sinking and Jack Dawson (L.Dicaprio) dies.

  • I'm in love.

  • If I had a wife, I would let you finger her. Just saying.

  • ...and in the background someone suddenly yells........"FREEBIRD!!!!!"

  • Justin King is underrated. He is so talented.

  • @tanyank7 His recent stuff isn't like this though :(

  • That use of harmonics at about the 1:30 mark is awesome.

  • hey drdeaddo you know if justin king uses standard tunnig on his songs??

  • Just ridiculous. If you can watch the first minute without saying "fuck it, I give up on guitair" I commend you.

  • @thediscgolfvids Just get really serious about guitar. And learn stuff you know isn't too far above your level, that poses a challenge, and learning more time consuming techniques.

  • knock on wood gets you into this guy but then you see stuff like this and go Whoa... man... this is up with with stuff like Will Ackerman, Phil Keaggy and others. Really great tune! melody will always rule over all pyrotechnics if you ask me.

  • The harmonics are really cool

  • o God i can play like this but what this music is just amazing..

  • THE DISLIKE!!! DAM MOTHER SON OF A DONKEY!! WHY IS THER ONE DISLIKE??

  • @KeblerK9091 Because there is always that one jackass..

  • This is the only guy I've seen who uses stupid amounts of technicallity, but still has soul and emotion.

  • @200StringGuitar Well said, 100% spot on

  • @DrDread Thank you sir. An unthreatening conversation on youtube is a rare occurence.

    The man is a genius.

  • @200StringGuitar Not to nitpick, but where do you get stupid amounts of technicality in? His pieces are mostly in tempo rubato, he can't read sheet music or even tab, and he uses the same major scale runs on almost all his pieces. Don't get me wrong, hes got soul and knows how to make good music, but 'stupid amounts of technicality' is an overstatement for a guy who says in interviews he has no formal training.

  • @200StringGuitar

    Check out Robert Taylor

  • @200StringGuitar How about George Benson, Wes Montgomery or Jimi Hendrix?

  • @200StringGuitar the guitar gets easier as u play more and shit gets intuitive its not technical at all for him but quite natural

  • @200StringGuitar Fairly redundant statement really.......

  • @200StringGuitar Victor Wooten

  • It makes me angry when someone dislikes somthing like this, who could not like this or think it's amazing? STUPID PEOPLE!!!

  • @KeblerK9091 People have different taste. Personally, I have a distaste for the like and dislike bar.

  • dude thats awesome, you have the right stuff for this,

    keep up the good work

  • WHO THE HELL DISLIKED THIS! >:O

  • His harmonics are just fuckin sick!!

  • I seriously wish I could sit down and learn how to play guitar like this. Everytime I watch this, it brings tears to my eyes because of how much emotion and passion is put into playing like this. I'd sell everything I own and live on the streets if I could play like this; as long as I had a guitar.

  • @sharkhunter308 cheers up dude

  • I've been a Lowden player since 1998. Le Bleu was recorded on a Lowden. This particular guitar was one I handpicked the wood for at the Lowden factory in Ireland in 2000--that was a cool day.

  • Comment removed

  • this dude probably gets laid every night

  • it's a very beautiful lowden!

what's the top and back material of this guitar? thanks

  • Quite quiet this song of his...not enough sustaining bass

  • tabs please??

  • sounds amazing bro!

  • This guy's good

  • damn I really love his fingerstyle-style:P. Does anyone know similiar artists playing this kind of fingerpicking??? And I don't mean the newage guys like andy mckee or don ross.

The only one I know is pierre bensusan tough I still think his fingerpicking is quite different from justins (more celtic).

  • @jasspie Pierre Bensusan has a mesmerising and unique fingerstyle technique partly borrowed from traditional classical and flamenco style. He plays exclusively in DADGAD (on a Lowden too), check out the live versions of Wu Wei and Nice Feeling.

  • @DrDread yes I know him well, I own a couple cds, wonderfull player. But he's the only one I think of with a bit similiar fingerstyle (logical as Justin attended one of pierres week long masterclasses). Do you know any other guitarists playing like this?

  • @DrDread Does he have AIDS? Why?

  • @DrDread Newton Faulkner also :)

  • @jasspie check out john butler

  • @jasspie also check out tony mcmanus

  • @jasspie Well dude andy and don are as good as they come, but i really like Craid D'andrea his music is really relaxing and mellow, its got a sweet vibe you could check out.

  • @DiabeticMafia Thanks. Shall Do. And I do like don and andy, I was just sayin their style is quite diffirent. More groove based. Justin plays a lot of rubato, like bensusan and classical players.

  • @jasspie HAHAHAHAHAH...u like his fingerstyle

  • @jasspie Tony McManus is another. Also more celtic, however.

  • @jasspie kim churchill has a similar although justin is better

  • @jasspie What about Don Alder watch?v=-vocEYP0NsI or John Doan watch?v=eSypqOGqH38

Either way, I respect all these people as brilliant musicians for their technicality and passion.

  • @jasspie Billy McLaughlin plays a similar style and a few years back had to re-learn the guitar by switching from right to left hand playing. There is a video here that details what happened to him and why he was forced to make the switch.

  • Is there anyway to get the tabs for this?

  • @Discreetscars i'm working on one, fingers crossed for july! i'll message you and post the link up on the video when its done.

  • @DrDread have you finished the tab yet?? I'm desperately searching for one

  • is that a larrivee?

  • @gregmusselman whoops i accidently thumbs-downed you instead of replying - sorry! but no, thats a lowden, an O-25 C i believe.

  • @DrDread out of curiosity, when did Justin start playing Lowden? I've always known him as a Larrivee player

  • @BrighamHB Can't say I know!Although, he says in another Scrabo Tower vid (posted by vaughanabe13) that he composed the song while visiting George Lowden in Ireland (presumably to have a guitar made)...and he has said he composed Le Bleu in 1999/2000..so its been a good decade or so!

  • @DrDread Thanks! It seems all the great modern acoustic players eventually get a Lowden

  • Justin King-of-guitar!

  • Mr. King, you've got so an amazing sound :)
