Erm... no. The MD11 was not fuel efficient and was very ahead of its time so it essentially got dropped before it should have been.

No, that are different airplanes. In this video you can see the MD-11.

L1011, no aircraft is crashproof but of those 3 the MD-11 is the safest one

Hmm, ich denke, er meint, dass man eher den Begriff Tri-Jet als Tri-Star verwenden sollte, da letzterer schon für die Lockheed L-1011 reserviert ist. Daher kann es zu Verwechslungen kommen. Aber wer schlau ist, erkennt sofort, dass es sich hier nur um eine MD-11 handeln kann :-D
