The Scirocco R doesn't need 4 wheel drive. It's fine with 2 wheel drive. 4 wheel drive means more weight and more fuel consumption, all car manufacturers should be trying to produce lighter cars with smaller and more fuel efficient engines. Volkswagen is leading the way at the moment by getting big power out of smaller engines.

No, The 2.0 TFSI wich starred in many Audi / VW cars just has a new name because all the TSI and TFSI names were getting confusing. That's why all the turbocharged pertolengines are now called TSI. Only the 1.4 TSI with 160 -or something- bhp has a supercharger and a turbo.
this is the 4 cylinder 2.0 TSI engine that is basically the same engine in the GTI's only has the bigger turbo same as the TTS and Audi S3.

It will not have a VR6 engine but turbo engine instead most propaply the same engine in the R scirocco. but there are roomers that it might have the 5cylinder 2.5 turbo engine from the TT RS. that would be FANTASTIC!
