It hasn't had a fatal one since 2002, and the incident in Okinawa I think was an engine design flaw...

The one that broke up (not blew up) was in 2002 - they found that it was because of faulty maintenance practices *over 20 years earlier* to repair tailstrike damage - the way the maintenance was documented made people unable to detect the error.

A 747 missed the runway at Kai Tak in 1993. Nobody on board died.

The crash in 1989 was a 737 hitting a mountain after takeoff. The crew used the wrong climbout procedure for the wrong runway, taking a wrong turn

normal airlines have a incident rate of 2.0 while china airlines has 7.16!

and EVAAIR is a lot better than china airlines!

The only thing BR does not need to learn from CI is the crashes CI makes over their service periods.

comparing with CHINA AIRLINES, i personally love EVA more. however, so many of my friends flied with EVA to europe. they all complained about their services. i don't know what's wrong with their EURO flight. their boss should focus on that; otherwise, their reputation will become notorious.
