you should mix the dye after pulling hair throuigh the cap as that can take half an hour and bleach oxydises in like 45 mins so if you do after pulling hair through it will be lighter

lol this whole journey would of been cheaper at the salon!

I used the "Colour B4" (Had not dyed my hair in a year) and my hair was dark brown and it lifted it to caramel. Went to the salon the next day , had bleach on for 5 minutes then a lift/tone/tint system on for 50 minutes, and now I am back to bright blonde!

So a good toner thats at any kind of store there is a brass banisher box or you can get the john frieda tone restoring shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair. And also if you highlight your hair again dont mix ther bleach until your hair is all pulled through the cap. Bleach stops working after so long and then the results are also better if you use right after mixing.

by box dye,USE 2dye my hair dark brown every 4weeks.i then dyed it light brown with golden tint- made my roots go GINGER.then dyed it dark brown to get rid of ginger roots.since then ive grown it out- was a year ago i last dyed it.now my hair half light brown(natural color)with a suttle ginge bit in middle(where i tryed 2go light)n 2wards bottom is dark(where still aint grown out)had enough of growin it out n wana go a suttle blonde.what would hairdressers do 2do this?look at my dp 2see.ADVICE?x

i dont like box dyes. you can not go by what the box sayes. what you need to do it go to like sallys beauty supply and get ion brillance lightener, volume 20 or 30 developer. i use 20. mix and put on ur hair. it doesnt damage hair as long as you deep condition. it will do even lightening. then buy a color blonde you like. mix the color with the developer. i got the lightener, color, developer. gloves, tint brush,and mixing bowl for under 20 dollars.

How did you get from that colour to the blonde? Was it the loreal feria? Im at this stage now the yellowy blonde. Would you suggest using the silver blonde? Love your vids btw. Best on youtube. :) x

well there is this stuff called brass banisher that is supposed to work great. I like to use born blonde by miss Clairol,the one for cool tones.Its made to lift out dark colors and leave a cool light blonde tone. Also pantene makes this shampoo and conditioner called silver solutions. Its purple and helps get rid of brassiness and too much yellow in your hair.Be sure to condition and a lot. Use protein on your hair .Like mayonnaise to help keep your hair strong.

@MissBudgetBeauty Nah i left it on for the full time coz i no its supposed to go past the ginger to the blonde stage but mine just didnt ''/.it might have been coz i bleached my hair from black trying to go blonde. buh that didnt work so i had to dye it light brown buh i still had a few dark patches thru it so i dyed it a medium ash brown and then puttin highlights thru. and because it was a horrible mess i dyed it medium natural brown and coz i dyed over highlights theyve gone a nice colour x

How did it lighten your hair if it was colored?? If my hair has any color in it at all, it will not lighten at all. Don't understnad how this works for everyone else but me?? "Color doesn't lift color"?? :-(

@BrittanyER86 to lighten you mustuse a bleach or pre-lightener... i also used something called "colourb4" which liften a lot of the dark colour out b4 i then went to lghten it! x

Wow, u have guts going blonde at home. I went to the hairdresser a while ago and had highlights and some of my hair got really damaged and broke off, looks fine now, not noticably thiner or anything. But scared to get it done again. Wella toner in an ash base is meant to be the best...but apparently you have to be careful as it can turn ur hair grey. I use lee staford purple shampoo...seems to work much better than john freida...its a much darker purple...there's also the lee staford hot shots x

@katey0787 i think some people have "weaker" hair than others ... mine seems to be quite resilliant but i have a friend who had highlights at a salon and they ruined her hair! you've gotta think too that their chemicals are far harsher than home colourants! much larger chance of your hair becoming over-processed! my hair still needs big time conditioning treatments at the moment since i bleached it... it needs cutting but i dnt wanna lol. i think the darker purple products work best too! x

@MissBudgetBeauty I've my hair dyed blonde about 4 times before (and then gone dark again) but it never happened before...i dunno whether she left it on too long or if it's just weaker at the moment :s. Your hair looks really healthy tho, it doesn't look like you need treatments at all...tempted to try that brazilian blow-out because it looks amazing...just gotta find a cheap salon that does it :) x

I think depending on where you live you can manage to get it done for nearer to £100 rather than £200 and up which is what i've been hearing it is. Unfortunately i live in London so i imagine it's gonna be a total rip off everywhere. x

i think john frieda do a purple shampoo works wonders babee :) its like a dark purple at the top n fades down inito like a whiteish colour the sheer blonde collection they do shampoo n conditioner

there about £5 wt is pritty good i think , i gt mine a cupple weeks ago in boot n it was on offer like 2 for 7 or somethin :D
