suffering exist so that one day we could realize we've had enough of it. a day may come when you think to yourself, I can't live with myself anymore, and from that thought a realisation arises. you are not your ego, or the story of you that you've created. you are a timeless consciousness beyond matter. and then joy, and peace, and love for all things arises from this realisation of unity with all life.
Life is to feel wat hurt is life bring feelings not crying is not being real not being real is not living life is fun not being joyful is depression death is life in life we die so learn from life in everyone!
@Narsanill Exactly, fuck what society says do what you feel is right not what others telll you is right. Going along with what others tell you is just showing that you can't think for yourself. Also about 3 days ago a guy cried at the end of a movie. No one could fault him for it.
@sofakinghigh101 - i think you need to rethink that. i've seen a grown man break down in tears before. on more than one occasion. each time i might add, i wish what had happened hadn't happened to cause the pain to cause the tears. but men do cry.

@XeftCore Ok douche bag I like to argue with people its fun for me. I said I meant no offense, but these are my opinions and I dare you to try and silence me. All you can do is refer me to published studies other people have done, and hope on my own ill cure my ignorance.
I'm aware, they're aware, everybody and their mother is aware that it's your opinion. What else could it possibly be? A fact? Get real.
I don't need to refer you to published studies, if you even thought at all then you'd realize how stupid you're being. Really, no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to make any sort of sense out of your post. That's how stupid it is. It's crap.
@sofakinghigh101 To cry is to show strength. Not crying when you want to cry is a sign of falling into line with probably societies worst attempts at curbing our emotional desires.
Crying lets loose the emotions, keeping them in check. Making you stronger in the end. Emotional pain is still pain.
Real men can shed their tears and NOT be ashamed of it. Real men can cry and you know why? because they aren't mandated by what they have to do.
@badarbiter I respectfully (and I don't use that word unless I actually see merit in someone's opinion) disagree. I agree that men feel emotional pain and people sometimes cry when they are in emotional pain. However, I think it's a sign of weakness to cry. Similarly, a man who is in physically pain and screams or collapses in agony is weak. As I consider a man who endures physical pain without screaming tough, I also consider a man who is in emotional pain without crying tough.
@MrSalamander7 I appologize but I too must respectfully disagree. it is only weakness when you allow it to be a weakness. How is it weak? by showing a different side of you? only those who see themselves as weak would fear it. A man self confident in himself and in his own strength would not care if others see him crying, for he would know that he is strong enough that their words mean nothing to him and his own self image.
@badarbiter Well I too would say that crying and showing sadness is showing "a different side of you" and that it takes a confident person to do that, but I do insist that crying and succumbing to sadness is almost by definition a demonstration of weakness. However, this doesn't have to be bad. It's human to be weak in some situations and find it difficult to bear. It's healthy and human, but I think it's folly to say that crying somehow is an expression of strength.
Crying is nothing more than a biological function meant to bring catharsis. It's a way to release stress hormones. While crying, one is more emotionally vulnerable, perhaps even weak, but if controlled, crying is a useful tool.
Anyway, sadness and weakness and strength are all relative terms.
Why Is it weak to allow yourself catharsis via crying?

Apologies if this comment shows up more than once. Youtube seems to be ignoring my posting attempts.
@themidnightjudge1 I think we're more or less in agreement. I'm not saying crying can't be good or healthy. All I'm saying is that it shows some sort of weakness. Again, not saying that's bad or unhealthy either.
@MrSalamander7 Succumbing and controlling are two different things. But to just hold it in is even worse then succumbing, by letting it all out you are stronger for it rather then to continuously just let it eat away at you as time goes on.
@badarbiter You had to ruin it with the ending, real men know when to restrain themselves also. To cry can be a sign of weakness. Not to those around you, but to yourself, sometimes it takes strength and character to curb your emotions.
@BENebuchadnezzar To restrain themselves, not to refuse to allow their emotions to be expressed because they want to be 'macho'. The weakness is only if you believe its a weakness. a true man, a true human wouldn't be afraid to cry. Humans are their emotions, emotions are what drives us to make ourselves better. Its true that one has to keep check their emotions, if it were to hurt others. Rage unchecked can hurt people, pride unchecked is deadly, but when has crying hurt anyone?
@badarbiter No problems there, I was just saying you cry when there's nothing else to be done, when it all fails, sometimes it's best to stop worrying and do something about it.
@BENebuchadnezzar You know...you can cry AND do something about your problem. I agree that you can't sit and moan about your problems and not do anything about it but there is a difference between doing nothing and just complaining about your problem, and about going about to fix your problem. Crying can be done with both of those actions and its not the act of crying itself that did it but the person who was lazy enough not to actually want to work out their problems

@koimaster lol I said that as a joke to say that some bs explaining for crying makes more sense then crying because of "sadness"

@XeftCore Ok douche bag I like to argue with people its fun for me. I said I meant no offense, but these are my opinions and I dare you to try and silence me. All you can do is refer me to published studies other people have done, and hope on my own ill cure my ignorance.

@sofakinghigh101 What the hell are you smoking?
XeftCore 1 year ago
@sofakinghigh101 There is no argument here. None.
It's crap.

@sofakinghigh101 It takes more guts to show emotion than to try and hide that you feel just because it makes you seem 'stronger'.

@sofakinghigh101 there are some reactions of the body that science can't fully explain

In the most eloquent way possible sir. Fuck you.

@the13igworm Thank you for agreeing with me

@badarbiter I respectfully (and I don't use that word unless I actually see merit in someone's opinion) disagree. I agree that men feel emotional pain and people sometimes cry when they are in emotional pain. However, I think it's a sign of weakness to cry. Similarly, a man who is in physically pain and screams or collapses in agony is weak. As I consider a man who endures physical pain without screaming tough, I also consider a man who is in emotional pain without crying tough.
MrSalamander7 1 year ago
@MrSalamander7 I appologize but I too must respectfully disagree. it is only weakness when you allow it to be a weakness. How is it weak? by showing a different side of you? only those who see themselves as weak would fear it. A man self confident in himself and in his own strength would not care if others see him crying, for he would know that he is strong enough that their words mean nothing to him and his own self image.
badarbiter 1 year ago

MrSalamander7 1 year ago
@MrSalamander7 Succumbing and controlling are two different things. But to just hold it in is even worse then succumbing, by letting it all out you are stronger for it rather then to continuously just let it eat away at you as time goes on.

@badarbiter You had to ruin it with the ending, real men know when to restrain themselves also. To cry can be a sign of weakness. Not to those around you, but to yourself, sometimes it takes strength and character to curb your emotions.
BENebuchadnezzar 1 year ago
@BENebuchadnezzar To restrain themselves, not to refuse to allow their emotions to be expressed because they want to be 'macho'. The weakness is only if you believe its a weakness. a true man, a true human wouldn't be afraid to cry. Humans are their emotions, emotions are what drives us to make ourselves better. Its true that one has to keep check their emotions, if it were to hurt others. Rage unchecked can hurt people, pride unchecked is deadly, but when has crying hurt anyone?
badarbiter 1 year ago
@badarbiter No problems there, I was just saying you cry when there's nothing else to be done, when it all fails, sometimes it's best to stop worrying and do something about it.
BENebuchadnezzar 1 year ago
@BENebuchadnezzar You know...you can cry AND do something about your problem. I agree that you can't sit and moan about your problems and not do anything about it but there is a difference between doing nothing and just complaining about your problem, and about going about to fix your problem. Crying can be done with both of those actions and its not the act of crying itself that did it but the person who was lazy enough not to actually want to work out their problems
