If you just point out the abuse to the abuser, they will just hurt the child worse (Or even kill them at worse case scenario) whenever you are not around. The better thing to do is to be the observer until real professional help comes along.

At any rate, thank you for telling her story in such thoughtful, well-researched, and engaging way. I had hoped in some small way to honor Mary Ellen's story with the video. Our timeline was short - which really limited the length of the piece - but I poured heart and soul into it nonetheless.
