What wasn't even rave/trance but eurodance. Let to much controversy in the scene those days. *g*

You can find this exact version of this track on the two disc album of Tranceformer 2000, mixed by Lange. It is track number 10 on the second disc. I believe this version of the song actually came out in 1999 sometime. Its a classic.

I personally think the message of new age hip hop is quite garbage, so I agree with you there. But what I think is that music goes through evolution, to keep up with the times. This age is the age of clubbing and dancing. Since Hip Hop wants to stay fresh with the age, they make their songs while keeping more focus on the beat, and obviously not the lyrics.

Yes, I'll admit, I'm a big fan of Lil Wayne. But more for the beats, not the lyrics.

Hip Hop can stay up to date. They just need to talk about modern issues in the world instead of that lollipop gargbage. Masta Ace, Canibus, Nas, and im having a brain fart now so I cant remember others. LUPE FIASCO is a great example of a hip hop artist that stays fresh while still maintaining the indepth and complicated lyricism that hip hop is supposed to have. He also incorporates a message in all his songs. And if you listen to music for the beats then listen to techno, lil wayne sucks dick
