@mafiahalo93 LoI don't believe I ever said the Macbook was not good for work. It simply does not come pre-installed with work-related programs such as microsoft word like many people would expect. And in gaming, the fact is that the Mac does not have nearly the variety of options as the PC, but for the games it is compatible with it runs great. I know what I'm talking about my friend ;)

And I live in Norway, but if I buy this in for example The USA, will I then not be able to use some letters that we use in Norway? Å, Ø, Æ? Or can I buy it from Sweden and get the Å, Ø, Æ? I brought a Macbook Pro two days ago and while I was transferring music via USB from my old laptop (Dell), the songs that I'd imported onto my Dell wouldn't come up as a readable file on my Mac so I tried inserting the disks in my Mac and the laptop doesn't draw-in the disk at all; I nearly completely pushed the whole disk in and it still didn't get drawn-in (I didn't end up putting the disk in, in-case it wouldn't eject).

If you have sims 3 or are going to buy it, on the case of the game it'll say the computers it can run on, if it has MAC listed as one any MAC computer will be compatible with the game not specific MAC models.

I am thinking about getting a Mac, but is it really that overpriced? It seems to have great build quality, as well as coming with Garageband and iMovie. The thing that makes me rethink it is its graphics card, and its tendency to heat up while running games. I am planning on getting it for school and video editing as well as gaming, but the most powerful game I will ever probably want to run on it will be Portal 2. Is it worth the 1250 dollar price, or are there any other PC's I could look at?

@Keatort don't get an iMac, instead look into building your own PC or maybe Dell for gaming. Trust me, Garageband and iMovie is NOT worth buying a Mac. If you want to edit videos, then you would need a FAST computer with an i7 or a x6 with alot of ram and a decent graphics card. You can buy or build a PC with atleast 2 times the specs of a Mac for the same price. Before you blow 1.2 grand on a computer RESEARCH, I wish I could go back in time and tell myself that >.>

Do you turn this thing off at night or just let it sleep? I notice a lot of people coming over from the Windows side always shut their Macs down at night rather than sleep it (seeing as it has reliable a sleep mode!). My Mac has been on for 4 months or so with a reboot once every couple of weeks or so or when there's an update that requires it lol. Power use is about the same too as booting up after a shut down uses quite a lot of juice, so it evens out.

Got my first Mac yesterday....setup took less then 5 minutes. On my hp I had to install the os and burn my own backup....6 hours later I was surfing and answering stupid question after stupid question to no end. In the case of the Mac I had edited and burned a HD DVD form an avchd SD card in less then an hour......on a machine and software I had never used before. Watch your heads...HP laptop going through window....

@TheSk8tique WoW gets more and more intensive as they release new addons. The great thing with Bliz is they make their games very scalable to run on pretty much every "modern" rig. Some of the particle effects and stuff can be pretty demanding despite the overall look of the game. It's pretty well optimised though. I just hated the cache flushing when I used to play it, it'd happen at the worst possible moments and freeze your system up for a couple of seconds haha.

@omtaa Get the 15 inch, the 17 inch is too big, and the 13 inch is basically a cheat as it is smaller than '13 inches' and resembles a mini laptop. The 15 inch is perfect though.
