That cobra engine made 305(rated)hp (more like 330 in fact) and 300lbft of torque in 1998 and it makes well over 900hp and 800lbft tq now. last M3 i had a pull against blew up. threw a rod.

@Quanni90 The euro spec M3 engines are not illegal in the US if you install the proper emissions control systems (O2 sensors and catalytic converters) I have seen it done and they are imported all the time. the difference in hp (316hp US spec, and 321hp euro) is the emissions control stuff. depending on the laws in each state these systems can be removed. Personally the only thing inbetween the exhaust valves and the atmosphere in my car is some piping and some straight through "mufflers"

i had a 98 M3 with underdrive pullys, cold air intake, an a Dinan stage 1 tune, Id get about 3-4 runs in before my clutch would get too hot an slip. Then after a bit it would work normal again...bought the car at 74k miles an drove it to 178k, the clutch always did this for over 100k miles....wierd, but it never went out.....an it was good to see a video without all the trash talk an excuses

@darkem11 You really have to ask? Street racing is MAJOR fail. Plus, the M3 driver seems that he spends his money on useless upgrades (chip, exhaust, which on a OBD1 does NOTHING for the M3 but change the sound) and has crap ebay headlights and is missing a corner marker. Those clear markers are only about $25 a pair. Also, I'd love to know how he "dropped the compression." Thicker head gasket maybe? Only other way is to replace the internals.

Those 90's M3 werent anything special (Neither are 302 to 331 strokers) But two of my neighbors just raced a completely stock 95 M3 vs a 92 5.0 Notch w/ headers from a 15 roll twice, and the Notch pulled by about 2 cars each time through 1st and second.

A V6 Mustang especially the previous versions with the 4.0L (not the current 3.7) was never tuned for racing. It was also seen as a cruiser.
The engine was also a bit outdated, a V6 with 12 valves?...
It's no wonder a Civic could match the performance of a V6 rwd.
And if a modern 4cyl would perform just as well as a 12valve v6... That would just ruin the Mustang tradition.
Let's face it.. Who wants a 4cyl in a Mustang or even any or muscle car?

@darkem11 You really have to ask? Street racing is MAJOR fail. Plus, the M3 driver seems that he spends his money on useless upgrades (chip, exhaust, which on a OBD1 does NOTHING for the M3 but change the sound) and has crap ebay headlights and is missing a corner marker. Those clear markers are only about $25 a pair. Also, I'd love to know how he "dropped the compression." Thicker head gasket maybe? Only other way is to replace the internals.

Those 90's M3 werent anything special (Neither are 302 to 331 strokers) But two of my neighbors just raced a completely stock 95 M3 vs a 92 5.0 Notch w/ headers from a 15 roll twice, and the Notch pulled by about 2 cars each time through 1st and second.

@247boxing It's not about how many hp you have is how you use them .European cars are more efficient than american cars , With smaller engines and less hp they obtain better performance so euro cares are more efficient than american cars.Ant they also have better handling , better consumption better, designs etc. you get the point.

@UltraFighter18 why would we want to take corners? american roads are not curvy any were and if we do want to take corners just change the suspension tweek the transmission and a few other things. but i wouldent go as far as saying that euros are better than american. all cars are sold to a specific market if america wanted to sell to Europe the cars would change in style

@247boxing Sorry americans cars go only in straight lines, a car normally doesn't need to tale corners it's logical.At the last part you're right the only american care that is selling in europe is ford and it's made mostly in europe and by European engineers.Euro car makers like Mercedes BMW Ferrari Lamborghini Maserati Audi etc. don't change their car styles for american car market because everybody loves these cars despite nationality culture race color etc.
