  • (continued from below) the liquid requires careful circulation and is typically filtered to prevent contamination of the emulsion. One important and overlooked note to home processing- dry the film very carefully as this is where most problems occur. Glowing water should have been flowing water btw!

  • To remove remjet there are two approaches. Process as normal, in the final wash, using tepid water and a soft sponge wash off in glowing water to avoid contaminating the emulsion. This method is cheap and easy but causes pollution in the developer stage. Not a big deal unless you are processing by bulk. The second or industry method is to run unprocessed film through pre heated ( typically 32-38c) isopropanol ( rubbing alcohol equivalent) using a cellulose sponge which is usually rotating. The
