@gedias1 Easily, a lot of people don't realize that the NHL had an agreement with the Habs about drafting Quebec-born players. The Habs always had first dibs on Quebec-born draft players up until I belileve the late 1960s/early 70s..... that's a big reason as to why Montreal won so many cups. It's not very flattering, but it's reality.

Not to mention this team dominated like no other sports team cause they had access to all the French Canadian players, which made them completely overpowered.
