also, put your rail riser over both sets of your rails, it will stabilize your shroud from moving, attach it to the metal rails and the rails that are on the shroud

a fix to your folding stock/cyclone fix... pull your stock out one notch before swinging it in, it will hit the loader shell and not the cyclone bolt, i have one myself :P lol

little tip.. use the Apex barrel. that barrel is amazing. its like the only cheat code in paintball. haha. not really but i do have to say i got some pretty fancy shots with that Apex barrel. for instance someone behind a tree. on under a bunker. stuff like that. also much more accurate.

The difference between the project salvo and alpha black are just cosmetic. The have the exact same internals but the PS has working rails and a folding stock.

@holmes11210 Be careful about those front grip/bi pods, I'm in the Army and I bought the cheap one also and it broke after maybe 3 times at the range. If you can, save the money and buy the real one for $50, I havent had any problems with it so far and I use it on my M4 and my paintball gun!... nice salvo! do you know if I can put on a real but stock made for an ar-15 or M4? I have the Magpul adjustable stock for my M4 that I'd really love to throw on this lol Thanks!

@howie11000 Alpha Black is for light manuverability. The Project Salvo is more meant for Tactical use (Attaching sights, scopes, red dots, etc.). I personally own a Project Salvo, so, it's up to what you need/prefer.

I'm all for sniping and i'm a paintball "sniper" myself but you have to know a couple things:

1) the longer the barrel isn't always better

2) it's not your gun's fault- it's your ammunition (paintballs aren't perfectly round, they have seams where they connect and the can ruin the aerodynamics and make your paintball make a hard left or right. i reccomend a 12in-14in but not a giant 20in!)

@1Paintballer77 get a e trigger and get a rampage trigger that trigger will let u fire up to 50 bps on it turbo mode and make sure you get the cyclone feed system with the techt up grade kit that right there my friend will have you at about 30bps with out having to change out or polish the internals for distance flatline if you are not planing to shoot fast and or apex but if not get the hammer head barrels

Get a J&J edge kit. So you can size your paint. Or get a Lapco bigshot. If you get a J&J get whatever inch barrel that came on it, just so it will look right, I have a J&J on my A5 and it is a great barrel.

@Iteban it is tippmann 98 thread. I'd suggest going to a local paintball store to test which fit in the shroud.

I use a tippmann straightline barrel 16 inch. It is very accurate and looks great on the gun. One thing to keep in mind is that the stock barrel pushes up against the shroud when screwed in keeping it stable and snug. With an aftermarket barrel you might get wiggle in the shroud. I fixed this by putting a half inch rail raiser on to keep it from wiggleing.

@NickIsOriginal Mine did not. I took the E-trigger out of my old Alpha Black and put them into the PS. Because of your question I did google Electronic Project Salvo's and did find some places selling for about $220.00 or so. The E trigger upgrade kit from tippman costs about $79.

@SoulE3ter It uses the gases of the gun to cycle balls into the gun. It works extremely well and you never need batteries. When the gun is on full auto a normal gravity feeder will feed balls to slowly. You have to use a tippmann 98 cyclone system for the AB's and PS's.

@SkAtEr2595 If you crank the velocity the balls just fly wild. Most fields look for about 280 psi. Every gun shoots about the same distance and the only thing you can do for an upper hand is to look for accuracy. Most aftermarket barrels will increase accuracy. The only barrel that I've seen that increases range is the Tippmann Flatline but the balls lob in rather then go in a straight line. For accuracy look for a barrel with "fitters". The fitters match to the size of the ball.

I use the 3 point sling and remote air to take abit of the weight off of the gun.

@Harmankardonaddict Both markers work the same way. I replaced the AB with the PS for looks only. I liked the quad rail and the folding stock. I still own my AB but use it as a back up gun or a lender to friends.

@Rulictar I put an E-grip from my Alpha Black and put it in the Project Salvo. The semi auto PS has the holes pre-drilled in the hand grip. I only wish they had a thumb selector to switch modes. With the PS and AB you have to use an allen key to push the recessed buttons.

@Rulictar When I bought the Project Salvo it came as semi auto. Meaning 1 trigger pull equals 1 paintball. One the trigger grip there are pre drilled wholes that allow you to match up with the Tippman Egrip. Basically I took the Semi auto parts out of the project salvo grip and placed the Alpha Black Egrip into the pre cut handle.
