@Honkeybutt4 I don't think you understand the engine of them very well. The DOHC VTEC engine can be moded relatively cheap for decent horsepower gains for cheap too.

You could drop a used turbo into a manuel transmission one for cheap .

Or A supercharger into automatic also a used one on ebay for cheap.

Intake Manifold and Headers can get at discount for 500 for both.

A 63mm Throttle Body would also do the trick with spacer.

And a cheap chip then just got to tune the ECU and your set.

The new VWs & Hondas are heavy anymore. That an VW isnt putting the Vr6 motor in the Jetta/Golf anymore. They seem to stick with the Turbo inline 4s. Which isnt bad. I know how can make the same HP as some of vws motors with out turbo. But they cant make the same tourqe.

I think Vw is trying to compete with the STI and Evo. With their Golf R. I dont think it will be a match and if it is its gonna cost like 10k more than a STI
