hi everybody , big George here, its great to know that im still loved and remembered , will be back on the road very soon just got a few health problems to sort out. Ive just bought 2 new guitars a strat and a tele, so im chomping at the bit !
Big George always a legend to us in australia! Had the chance to jam with him one night and the pleasure was all mine! cheerz jen and stevo for the chance george get well soon...
Great to hear this again, memories of George at the pres hall and other shows in the eighties, why he never became superstar is to this nations eternal shame...no need to take his shirt off tho...the alledged semmits were top quality cotton
I lived in Glasgow for a period of time in the early 90's. One night, George was busking. I asked him to play this song. I couldn't think of the title at the time so he went though a few songs before he got to this song. I gave him all the money I had on me that night -- I think it was around nine pounds - and he packed up shop and headed for the pubs. This song and the images in the video bring back fond memories of a beautiful country filled with beautiful people. Thank you!
Thanks for the lovely comment, Scotland is beautiful...
I think he might not of remembered half of the song names himself...
And also, The band asked George for the nine pounds the other day...it was funny, George had no clue what to say, it was 1 of the first times I'd seen him speechless in a long time........

Good stuff there. Any chance of getting George's "The Storm" up? That is my all time favourite song by him. Haunting.
