Pretty good job. As for flat/minor/major, that's folk music. That's how different versions of music come about. If your accompaniment can keep up with it, then what the heck. The only constructive criticism I have is you are playing in a deliberate fashion. Folk fiddling should be free-flowing and rythmic. Then I guess you are aware that you are recording and that would change my style also as it does most musicians..
Sorry to sound discouraging, but the problems here go way beyond mere tuning. The first eight measures go from the vicinity of e-flat minor (should be major), pass through what sounds like the neighborhood of e-minor, and back. It begins in the wrong key, and modulates twice, ending up in the wrong key again. It doesn't get any better after that. It is obvious that you want to fiddle, so I recommend a lot of ear-training (a LOT) and very careful tuning of scales if you intend to progress.
The tone and ornaments sound good and strong, but the intonation was so far out that it sounded like it was changing key and going from minor to major. All of the tunes contained wrong notes and wrong timing. The wrong notes are not the ones I meant were out of tune but the wrong notes altogether.Sheehan's was the least cringe-worthy, not surprised the cat left. Surprised he lasted as long as he did. I don't mean this in a bad way.
Since you ask, and no bad intention here just wanting to help, it sounds very out of tune. I was watching your other videos and you have a nice crunchy tone, good bow too, but you need to work on the intonation. I hope you don't take it in a bad way. Good luck!
Thanks for the input. I find the intenation harder in e Flat and without accompliment. The bones of the banks is there though for anybody wanting to know how it goes.
