First, Wright told the truth and what happened? Obama the Politician instantly distances himself from Wright. The MSM calls Wright racist because they have to have an angle to hype in the story. Yet again, the "Great Race Debate" disappears after about five minutes.
Second, go to Tim Wise's site for someone who's at least trying to draw attention to a real discussion.
It's delusional and fallacious to say that Wright merely "criticized the government" he libeled it AND the citizenry. That and his other racial separatist diatribes are unpatriotic. His former military service does not give him all-encompassing license.
I referring to his rhetoric saying that black children need separate educational accommodation then white children, and his accompanying beliefs in eugenic pseudo-science. (from his speech before the Detroit NAACP, not his sermons)
it has been proven that black kids given education that is culturally relevant to them perform better than when it is not. why should black parents send their children to learn from people who dont like them?
You mean that when children are tested for their knowledge of their own microcosm they seem to know more? Who would have thought.
In point of fact, Wright's rhetoric extends beyond your own xenophobia into pure alchemy. I'd prefer a sound education from "people who don't like me" then to be turned into an imbecile by a cult of tribalists that satisfy my parents' egos.
Besides, just because a person disagrees with his government doesn't making him unpatriotic, our government serves the people, we don't serve them. What's democracy with out disagreement?
As a white male I initially found pastor Wright's speech offensive, however, when I listened to the entire sermon I changed my mind. He is not bigoted or anti- American, in fact, the man was U.S marine. He only criticizes America's failed polices and poor diplomatic actions over seas. He talked about the past injustices of people of African descent. These sound bites are very misleading, and it seems media is just trying to create fear & paranoia.
The media is owned by Zionists, and they are spreading lies about what this man said, and not letting the people decide for themselves by hearing the entire speech. If you hear his entire speech (the one which the media used to bring down Obama) it denounces Zionist terrorism.
@JimmyJump007 I'm so glad that you took the time out to listen to what he said, and not just listen to what the media would want you to think. If more people would just listen just think about how much better we can be. People who are not black can't understand what we go through everyday and I get it. Because you never had to every sec of your life prove that you love this country just as much as anyone else. So May God Bess You. We need more like You.
you see how every body are now experts about a pastor that they have never heard in person. That is why we are america, I like what you said, thanks for being real to yourself instead of being a follower like the most of america
Ms. darkside: If I may ask, would you have the same relativizing consideration for a disaffected white public figure who made similar grievances about blacks or asians, and would you feel the same ease at the idea of one of his or her closest disciples potentially becoming the most powerful person in the world.
whites always trying to flip the script. Yall are real funny to me. I like how they played the race card and now whites are playing victim roles. How can whites play victim. Well I feel you because if whites were to procreate with any other ethnic group, to the full compacity you all race will disappear. Think about the genes in your body. I would be saying white power too, to save my race. But you all love blacks but at the same time you dont' want to be ruled by any.
breasworld: Kind of a scattered array of semi-responses designed to avoid asking yourself the question, none of which particularly convincing that any such racial tribalism and libelous hypocrisy would be anything other then a disservice to whites, blacks and otherwise, as it is in this case.
Enjoilongisland: I would take solace in the fact that people are genuinely defying this socially acceptable extremism. And ask yourself, where else in the world is the racial dialog further progressed?
Its hard to answer that question because well, white people had never been slaves to black people, so its hard to flip the coin around... I think it is not entirely appropriate to judge Obama based on what his pastor said, but i can understand why you might be upset at the associatoin.
Do you think that a white child born today should be hated because of what some whites did to black 145 years ago? your warped if you think so. i have a 3 year old son (who is white) and he owes NOTHING to anyone, i don't care what color you are or what may have happened to your great great great grand parents. What Wright sat was WRONG!!!! This country is going in the wrong direction with race realations, too bas we don't all wear paper bags over our heads, so we can only hear instead of see.
darkside: Your first comment is false,(the Moors invaded, occupied and enslaved the Iberians for 800 years) but even if it weren't, the question shouldn't be that hard to answer.
Obama has taken many risks of his base of dogmatic leftists by giving credence to Ronald Reagan, the Iraq war, and to racially disaffected white Americans, but as Wright himself pointed out, Obama's a politician and words are words. His real, practical actions in the Senate do speak of the same extremism.
Funny how all of the traitorous black super delegates that support Hillary are switching sides to the Obama camp at the last minute. Nothing to do with race?
That's funny, because quite a few superdelegates have switched sides and I honestly doubt they are all black. In fact, the last batch of superdelegate endorsements he has received have been white and not those "traitorous" black superdelegates. I guess you're blind to the fact Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters, Stephanie Tubbs, and Emanuel Cleaver who have all endorsed and continue to support Hillary Clinton.
Latest polls show over 90 percent of black voters, including racist Oprah, support Obama. This is only because he is black. Nevermind his ties to Rev Jeremiah Wright and Farrakhan! They would vote for Flava Flav if he were the black candidate. Their view on race and culture is polarized on black vs. white and skin color, which is provincial, racist, and pathetic.
You are exactly right, just look at all the black presidential candidates and black presidents we've had in the last couple of elections. Yes sir, blacks are are so racist that I don't see how for Bill, Gore, and Kerry in those gen. elections. Nevermind that they've somehow managed to vote for whites since they've been allowed to vote. I tell you, those blacks are just plain racist.(BTW, do me a favor and look up Alan Keyes and tell me how many black votes he has recieved.)
Wright was given a $1.6 million home in a 98% white neighborhood with a $10 million line of credit. His congregation lined his pockets and he takes their money to white suburbia!
Wright is a typical affluent black who want to have nothing to do with their people. They might talk a lot of BS about the struggle and suffering of the black community. But at the end of the day, they all go home to their mansion in a lilly white neighborhood. BTW, Al Sharpton is one of those phonies.
Here again you distort facts. The church bought him the home, he didn't buy it. It was a gift from the church to him. Also, I hardly call a person who served 36 yrs. as a pastor and worked in the black community in the southside of Chicago as a typical affluent black who wants nothing to do with his people.
Obama's 20 year Pastor labeled America: The US of "KKK" A. His good friend and pastor labeled our role in World War II as a Terrorist Act!? Obama's pastor actually called our War Veterans who faught for our country against the Nazis - Terrorists!
Wow! You really have a warped sense of logic, do you? He didn't call WWII vets terrorist, neither did he call America's role in WWII a terrorist act. What he called a terrorist act was the bombing of civilians the cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
Obama has attended this church for most of his life. Obviously Obama agrees with Wright on some level and I just want Obama gone and also someone should shut that damn pastor up.
Trinity United Church of Christ's Web site says its teachings are based on the black liberation theology of James H. Cone and his 1969 book "Black Theology and Black Power." a book that espouses "the destruction of the white enemy."
Honestly, I expect more from an asian women. My GF is asian and I am real close with her family and their friends and I don't think a single one of them think Obama is a good person. Your absolutely out of your mind.
I didn't know the website said that. I don't agree with everything Wright said, obviously. But there are truths to some of the things he 've said, although other things are untrue and hurtful to others. I am just saying , maybe we should try to understand why he is so angry and if discrimination has made him say things that are very explicit and even suspicous of white people.
I am not saying we should agree with what he say, but just to have a more open mind. :D
Oh, my mind is absolutely open. If a black man came forward that supported all people I would give him my vote, but Barack Obama is so translucent, I can see so deep into his soul and it's disturbing. I think it's shameful that he subjected his small children to such hateful propaganda directed at whites, innocent children. How could anyone sit through 20 years of negative propaganda and not come away with a genuine distain for whites. White people are not devils, people like Rev Wright are.
Yo Darkside! I hear you... But when you say pastor being "suspcious of white people"
I dont believe he is "suspicious of white people" I think hes "suspsicious" of the power structor here in america that is prodominatnly white male based.
I truly believe thats more accurate cause thats how I feel and I am cerian thats how he feels.
I got no beef withh any random white guy... Crap I got more in coomn with bllue colar whites than white collar blacks! (sort of)...
darkside... justin said the pasture called white people the enemy... at no point did he do that...
he never once called white people the enemy nor did he call white people the devil... these people that have contacted you have put words in the mouth of the pasture...

Lady, your really really stupid. "well, it may be offense, but it's true." So, it's true that White people are devils? Is it true that the u.s. is the u.s.of kkk? On more than one occation he has called white people "the enemy", you belive that? Are whites the enemy?
Is America the greatest democracy in the world? Does America pride itself on human freedoms and amongst those the freedom of speech ? Can one not be critical of America and still be a patriot? There is a point when patriotism becomes blurred with Nationalism the Third Reich kind. Do not react in anger but in analysis of what the man said. Take the emotion out of the argument.
Ok, deeeep breaths.....I am one with nature....ohhhhmmmmmm. Ok, yeah...I still think I'm offended and I still think people like Rev. Wright and Barrack Obama are exactly what is holding this country back. Black, White or Brown. Keep racial pride away from politics tyvm.
justinwhatts WTF?! the US government has had its FILL of the KLAN! there have been klan members and klan supporters that held power in the us government.
PRESIDENT Woodrow Wilson was a STRONG suprter of the KKK.
J Edgar Hoover looked to wipe out a threat what he called "the black messiah" and called M.L.K. the most dangerous negro in america!
The Bush family has ties with HITLER!
Bill CLinton used to belong to an all white ONLY golph club!
I would rather watch Rosie O'Donnell shit out a 3rd term abortion than watch this unqualified racist become our next commander in chief............seriously.
To have a leader of this country who so blatently does not respect or observe American ideals of patriotism would be a major step downward for this country!! We have enough politicians who are crooked we don't need one in office like Mr. Obama. It is Mr. Obama's right not to salute the flag, or say the pledge of alliegence but to expect to become our president when he so obviously does not respect the flag is the height of stupidity.
Obama's 20 year Pastor labeled America: The US of KKK. His good friend and pastor labeled our role in World War II as a Terrorist Act!? Obama's pastor actually labeled our War Veterans who faught for our country against the Nazis - Terrorists!
Most pastors preach that our bad behaviors of lying, stealing, and cheating, are what make us bad, and that if we work to change our behaviors god will show us his love and forgiveness.
Obama's pastor on the other hands says it is being born white that makes us bad. How can we ever change this? We can't! So we can never receive god's love and forgiveness because we were born white.
I respect your opinion even though I disagree. Rev. Wright is a "hate-pimp" who uses his pulpet to keep hate alive and ignores the self-inflicted genocide that is killing the black community by a thousand cuts. 70 percent of black children are born to teens. Racisim does not apply here. Prior to 1965 this number was less than 10 percent. What happened? The Great Society Program aka the welfare state. Policy did what slavery never could accomplish: The destruction of the black family unit.
I would like to join that church! Reverand Wright actually had the balls to speak the truth. I too say God damn America for electing Bush/Cheney twice, for an illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, for not responding to Katrina, for promoting torture, for supressing scientists, for mixing church and state, for shredding the constitution, for illegal spying on Americans, for the elimination of the middle class, for a fake war on drugs...I have run out of characters or I would go on.
I understand...now to others who may or may not agree with the main topic at hand about Rev. Wright. I want to to be aware that this country is notorious for giving into peoples so called aplogizes regardless of whom or what. Sen Byrd from North Carolina was a known White supremacist as well as a member of the KKK...Sen Strom Thurman wanted whites and blacks seperate as well...But these two indivuals were elected many times for there posts.
For most of what you said by saying that it was a "dumb thing" to say that aids was contracted by whites to kill blacks...consider doing research on the "Tuskeegee Experiment" that was done last century form the 1940's to the 1970's on African Americans. Look beyond what people say and go with facts...I would think that after doing your own research you your self might ask the question...Why did this happen?
My ancestors were persecuted for their religious beliefs by the Church of England. They were starving to death by the thousands in Ireland. They were forced to live in poverty by the King of England. They risked life and limb to get away from that terror and build a new life in a new land. Does this suggest anything to anyone? Like quit complaining and thinking the world owes you a living, and get to work building up yourself and be responsible for you and your family.
This man is Barack's Father Figure. He was the inspiration for "The Audacity of Hope." He brought Obama from Allah to Christ. He married Obama, babtized his children, blessed his home, prayed with him the night before he announced, is Obama's "mentor" and "spiritual advisor" and presented Farrihkan with a Lifetime Achevement Award where BARACK"S OWN DAUGHTERS PARTICIPATED. It's no surprise Michelle has never felt pride in America. Barack is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Thank God we found out now.
No one should ever say "God Damn America". Plain and simple. And no one should support someone who has that kind of sentiment about my country. It has nothing to do with race. I have darker skin than Obama and I can understand that. Hate speech is not ok.
Part of the problem here is America refuses to face its past atrocities and the recognition that there is still a lot of anger amongst the black folks who went through the worst form of racism known to mankind. Obama will survive this. America wants to move forward. I think this is a good thing. We can now talk about it. And the question of AIDS amongst black America, there is evidence to suggest a delibrate introdution of the virus to blacks and homosexuals.
Actually, america is the country that ended slavery in the civilized world. Before americans changed it, blacks were NOT even considered human by every other race on the planet. Change happened rather rapidly because of us but not all at once.
Whatever blacks have been allowed to become, in the world is because of the dedication and brotherhood extended to them by america, particularly white america.
The real problem are liberal lies about this. America stamped out racism, not created it.
No, what the preacher did was scream "God Damn America", claim that whites created AIDS to kill blacks, has repeatedly mentioned Israel and jews as being a "dirty word" and made it clear that the US deserved what happened during 9/11.
By any measure, he is a racist black supremacist scumbag.
Not only does Obama have extremely close ties to him but has made it clear over and over again that Wright is his primary source of religious and moral guidance.
no...and other things like him riding/pretending to have sex on the podium. most people really do care for that kind of behavior from somone that is suppose to be a mentor
No it's not over. Most Americans will forget about this in a few days just like they forgot about Bill Clinton implying that Obama's presidential campaign is a fairy tale.
This is nothing. Wait to see what the swift boaters will pull on anyone we (the democrats and independents) run. We cannot be afraid of these white supremists, hate mongers. We must confront them and challenge them at every turn.
It's not over for Obama by a long shot. Obama will win the nomination.
Two things: 1.When Mr.Wright said those things that day in church; you don't see booing or people walking out on him in protest. In fact, you see and hear cheers of approval to what he's preaching. This indicates to me that alot of black people in America feels the way Mr Wright describes America. 2. I'm a Catholic and I will be in church on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday. I also have a mind of my own. I split with the church on gay marriage and I'm pro-choice. Barack can still unite people.
GOOD LUCK TRYING TO CONVINCE WHITE AMERICA THAT IT WASN'T RACIST...
We gave the black man "AIDS" and imported heroin to kill off the black man? You might want to watch the video a little more carefully. Obama used horrible judgement association with this nutjob for 20 years. He's not fit to hold any office let alone President of the United States.

Not suprising...in what way?
MagneticLeader 4 years ago
It's not suprising because i have read about unethical scientists using certain group of people for unsafe experiments :(

to darksideofthenation;
MagneticLeader 4 years ago
I've read about the "Tuskeegee Experiment", that is indeed horrible but not suprising. :(

Sometimes harsh words are needed. I admire Rev. Wright and his courage to say those words.

Part of the problem here is America refuses to face its past atrocities and the recognition that there is still a lot of anger amongst the black folks who went through the worst form of racism known to mankind. Obama will survive this. America wants to move forward. I think this is a good thing. We can now talk about it. And the question of AIDS amongst black America, there is evidence to suggest a delibrate introdution of the virus to blacks and homosexuals.
drmaglev 4 years ago

Fuck Obama. He is a bad, bad man.

I didnt know he said whites created AIDS to kill blacks, thats a dumb thing to say. I am sorry I missed that..

It's over for Obama. This is not good... not good at all.
kienman222 4 years ago
No it's not over. Most Americans will forget about this in a few days just like they forgot about Bill Clinton implying that Obama's presidential campaign is a fairy tale.
TheDreamReborn 4 years ago

SCW01902 4 years ago
I agree. I don't think the church is racist...
same sex marriage is a better terms than gay marriage by the way, since bisexuals can have same sex marriage and they are not gay.
darksideofthenation 4 years ago
GOOD LUCK TRYING TO CONVINCE WHITE AMERICA THAT IT WASN'T RACIST...
We gave the black man "AIDS" and imported heroin to kill off the black man? You might want to watch the video a little more carefully. Obama used horrible judgement association with this nutjob for 20 years. He's not fit to hold any office let alone President of the United States.
Surrender2Terror 4 years ago
Research "The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment"
You fail to remember that America was responsible for giving syphilis to black men just to see what would happen.
I don't believe the American government is responsible for AIDS but Pastor Wright's claims are not that far fetched if you know your history.
TheDreamReborn 4 years ago
Rev. Wright is right and you misguided one, are the nut job. But that's okay-there are lots of nut jobs in the USA.
The chickens have come home to roost and chicken hawks are running and ruining this great country of mine. Heads off to chicken hawks!
