Broun is an idiot. People who are seriously ill need to be able to see the same doctor on a regular basis. The emergencey room only provides pain control in those circumstances and the taxpayers foot the bill. With the public option not only can they get the care they need but in most cases they will also be contributing to the cost of that care which will be far less than a visit to the ER. Republicans are so STUPID.

No... he's not stating that there are "places to go for free." He routinely throughout the town hall made it clear that health care is (in his words) "too expensive." The problem is his plan doesn't really ensure that anyone will go without health care because it's just a bunch of libertarian free market mumbo jumbo about how tax cuts and competition will drive down the cost of health care.
