  • I'm 13 and I'm thinking of going to military school and maybe trying out for the Navy Seals or Marines

  • @rocko10161 sounds good; just check the pay first....

  • @StreetMan2720 I think being able to shoot 100,000 rounds of ammo in training, fire 80,000 javelin rockets, and be in command of people utilizing millions of dollars of military equipment has its ups.

  • @eliteblast It's nice that you THINK that. Now, just go do it for what they're PAYING, and then tell us what you think! (And, in case you've already done that, you should know that the pay sucks, period.) Check it at military factory dot com military pay scale.

  • @StreetMan2720 dont be a twat

  • @andrew92L Twat???

  • @StreetMan2720 Yes, you are a twat. People don't join the military for the money, they join it for their country. They join it for the challenge. They join it for the experience. They join it for the men and women they serve with. Honor, Courage, Commitment. If you enlist, you won't make much money, sure. However, if you stick with a career in the military and do well, there are many doors opened to you. Have a nice day.

  • Fuck you, idiot. You have a nice day also--and, while you're at it GO ENLIST in the military, instead of talking all that PATRIOTIC BULLSHIT, and then you'll see what I'm talking about. BTW, fuckwad, life is about putting groceries on the table and having enough money to live decently, o.k. And, just because someone wants to "serve their country" in the military doesn't mean they should suffer an insufficient salary!

  • Furthermore, jerko, many military occupational specialties don't translate well into civilian life--so, so much for all those doors opening when you get out. Jokers like you need to GET REAL and stop pretending that all of your stupid patriotic idealism is going to be enough to see you through a term of enlistment; and that when you get out people will be falling all over themselves to hire a military hero.

  • @StreetMan2720 You're point about the pay scales may be correct, but clearly you have never served, so your knowledge of how well different MOU's translate to civilian life is insufficient to make an educated opinion. FYI - I am ex-serving, 6 years Navy.
