Rosalina is, you know, a space goddess. Stuffwell could store hundreds of powerups for Mario. I guess the only guide that's about as useless as Navi would be Starlow.
@TheAvatarman2 That may be a good counter for the copy flower but it's not going to do much to Kill Mario. Mario has plenty of powerups that fire would have no effect on. The Vanish Cap, Metal Cap, Boo Mushroom, Mega Mushroom, Rainbow Star, Starman--heck, even with his Blue Shell I think he's shielded from Fire Attacks.

@leo0the0saiyan Mario saved video games in general with Super Mario Bros. back in 1985. He helped bring back the industry from the Video Game Crash of 1983. Of course, R.O.B helped Nintendo get their foot in the door but it was Mario who showed people just how awesome games could be and just how awesome they were getting.
@leo0the0saiyan Bowser also has some favor with the heavens. Just like how Link and Ganondorf both have their triforces, both Mario and Bowser are "star children" (Yoshi's Island DS). All of the Star Children have incredible powers. Mario, Luigi, DK, Wario, Yoshi, Bowser and Peach.

@HeavyMetalLink05 I think you're seriously underestimating the amount of powerups and items Mario has used throughout his career. That's okay. It's easy to only remember the powerups that are used a lot like the fire flower or metal mario while forgetting the dozens or so powerups that, despite being awesome and practical, have seen little use. Like the Red Star,.
Mario relies on skill, powers, and items/weapons. Link almost entirely relies on items/weapons. Not that that's a bad thing.
@bONz08r0nzan beileve me I no alot more about Mario than people give me credit for. I really like mario and have played most of his games. I just think that win the battle that is Link vs Mario, Link's got it made.
everyone relies on something to win battles be it powers, skill, and/or weapons. Link relies on skill alot more than you give him credit for, you can have a sword or a bow but there useless unless you know who to use them, and as stated in the game Link's the greatest swordsmen ever
@HeavyMetalLink05 It's great that you know a lot about Mario, but you don't really show it when you imply that Mario's arsenal is inferior to Link's arsenal. There are just too many things in both to even begin to weigh them against each other. I, personally, do appreciate LoZ games. They are well made, fun, beautiful, compelling, etc, but I don't enjoy the Action Adventure genre as much as the faster paced platforming Mario games.
@HeavyMetalLink05 That is, skills that you can retain even if you're disarmed. Can Link still use swordsmanshi if his sword is knocked out of his hand? Can he still shoot arrows if his bow is burned? Nope. Mario's skills can't be countered so easily because he doesn't rely on tools as much. You can't disarm or break acrobatics, pyrokinesis (Mario can do this without a fireflower as of Superstar Saga), fighting skill and super strength.
@bONz08r0nzan no sword skills cant be used without a sword but in oracle of seasons link has to out box a world champion kickboxer that has been buffed with Onix's evil powers and Link out did him so even in unarmed combat Link is a very skilled fighter. Mario's fire does nothing to link if he's wearing the red tunic and he's fought plenty of areobic enemies in his time such as the gerudo gaurds and gerudo assassins.

Mario's fire does nothing to Link when he's in a red tunic, eh? Well, Link's sword and arrows aren't going to be very effective if Mario is wearing his Tanooki suit (when he turns into a Ksitigarbha, at least), Blue Shell, Metal cap, or his new white/gold invincible Tanooki suit.
It can't be stated enough/ Mario has a LOT of powerups.
@bONz08r0nzan Master Sword would still work and the shell is screwed to the megaton hammer and so is metal cap mario. likewise link has a freakin ball and chain that destroys almost anything. Futhermore if Link puts on the Fierce Deity's Mask, Mario's got about 30 secs to kis his butt good-bye
@HeavyMetalLink05 Master Sword would still work? I don't remember the Master Sword being a whole lot stronger than the Ordon Sword (or whatever it was called) in TP. It certainly couldn't cut through armor that the weaker sword couldn't. You're right, the Megaton Hammer could probably harm Shell Mario....but it's so slow and Shell Mario is so fast. The hammer would probably be less effective against Metal Mario. Plus, Mario's got sledge hammer of his own and he's better at using it than Link.
@HeavyMetalLink05 That ball and chain from TP wasn't as tough as you make it sound like. Enemies that weren't dumb beasts could block it.
Fierce Deity? Hah! Say hello to the seven Crystal Stars. Improved strength, and a fancy sword that shoots beams don't seem as tough when Mario can regenerate health and energy, cause earthquakes, freeze time, has increased strength and durability and can use powerful spells like Art Attack and Supernova.
@bONz08r0nzan Link's the hero of time and in oracle of ages he could go back and forth in time as he pleased so time doesnt effect Link. Likewise there are 4 link's and if 1 Link gets an Item they all get it so 4 link's + 4 Fierce Deity's Mask = good bye Mario.
I'll go ahead and skip to the item I won with last time, The Deku Nut. Mario can have all the powers he wants but they don't do him any good if he's frozen stiff.

That Fierce Deity argument you just stated is complete nonsense. You're talking about the four links from Four Swords, right? Well I have that game on my 3DS and when you get one item with one Link the others don't somehow acquire it as well.

@HeavyMetalLink05 A free shot? Hardly. Link would be too far away to be able to close the distance and perform a melee attack before Mario unshielded his eyes. His ranged attacks are either too slow (bombs, boomerangs) or take too much time to aim/prepare (bow and arrow). Besides, Mario could shield his eyes while jumping in the air, making it even harder for Link to aim his bow.
@bONz08r0nzan If he jumps with his eyes closed/covered then Link or one of the 3 others will hit him some how because what goes up must come down and unless there's a red star right there Mario can't do much about it. Link could just use the ice rod to freeze him in place and the only way ice wount effect him is if he's ice mario and if he is Ice Mario at the time then link can use the fire rod to melt him instead.
@HeavyMetalLink05 Which Ice Mario are you talking about? Ice Flowers from space turn him into an ice statue, yes, but regular ice flowers just give him the ability to throw ice at his foes. I don't think he'd be vulnerable to fire attacks in that mode.
Also, you're still implying that Link is fighting as four people. I already told you that if you bring in the Four Sword into the equation than Mario gets copy flowers. What's four Links compared to one or two dozen Marios?
@bONz08r0nzan he'd still be vulnerable to fire in that mode because he's vulnerable to fire in any mode except the fire flower from space and even then Link could use the Ice rod to make him a molten rock statue.
the copy flower is a one round of attack type deal, as soon as they attack the copy dissapears. The four sword makes 3 exact replicas of Link and they don't just dissapear there just as real as Link. And if Link uses Nayru's love the copy's of mario wouldn't do anything

Yeah, using Nayru's love is a good idea. Until Link runs out of mana, that is. Luckily, Copy Flowers are one of the M&L items that don't require FP to use.

Also, if mario used the copy flower to surround Link wiht mario's then Link could just use Din's Fire which puts a huge barrier of fire around him then expands from his body and cover the whole place in unstoppable fire.

Theres no true evidence to see what falls where in the Zelda timeline. Only 3 games have a confirmed spot in the timeline, Skyward Sword then OoT and Majora's Mask no one knows if it actually splits or not though most believe it does. But even if the timline did spil he could still get them because they still exsist somewhere in time.

Mario relies on skill, powers, and items/weapons. Link almost entirely relies on items/weapons. Not that that's a bad thing.

@bONz08r0nzan beileve me I no alot more about Mario than people give me credit for. I really like mario and have played most of his games. I just think that win the battle that is Link vs Mario, Link's got it made.
everyone relies on something to win battles be it powers, skill, and/or weapons. Link relies on skill alot more than you give him credit for, you can have a sword or a bow but there useless unless you know who to use them, and as stated in the game Link's the greatest swordsmen ever

@HeavyMetalLink05 It's great that you know a lot about Mario, but you don't really show it when you imply that Mario's arsenal is inferior to Link's arsenal. There are just too many things in both to even begin to weigh them against each other. I, personally, do appreciate LoZ games. They are well made, fun, beautiful, compelling, etc, but I don't enjoy the Action Adventure genre as much as the faster paced platforming Mario games.
When I say "skill" I mean "personal skill".

@HeavyMetalLink05 That is, skills that you can retain even if you're disarmed. Can Link still use swordsmanshi if his sword is knocked out of his hand? Can he still shoot arrows if his bow is burned? Nope. Mario's skills can't be countered so easily because he doesn't rely on tools as much. You can't disarm or break acrobatics, pyrokinesis (Mario can do this without a fireflower as of Superstar Saga), fighting skill and super strength.

@bONz08r0nzan no sword skills cant be used without a sword but in oracle of seasons link has to out box a world champion kickboxer that has been buffed with Onix's evil powers and Link out did him so even in unarmed combat Link is a very skilled fighter. Mario's fire does nothing to link if he's wearing the red tunic and he's fought plenty of areobic enemies in his time such as the gerudo gaurds and gerudo assassins.

Mario's fire does nothing to Link when he's in a red tunic, eh? Well, Link's sword and arrows aren't going to be very effective if Mario is wearing his Tanooki suit (when he turns into a Ksitigarbha, at least), Blue Shell, Metal cap, or his new white/gold invincible Tanooki suit.
It can't be stated enough/ Mario has a LOT of powerups.

@HeavyMetalLink05 Master Sword would still work? I don't remember the Master Sword being a whole lot stronger than the Ordon Sword (or whatever it was called) in TP. It certainly couldn't cut through armor that the weaker sword couldn't. You're right, the Megaton Hammer could probably harm Shell Mario....but it's so slow and Shell Mario is so fast. The hammer would probably be less effective against Metal Mario. Plus, Mario's got sledge hammer of his own and he's better at using it than Link.

Fierce Deity? Hah! Say hello to the seven Crystal Stars. Improved strength, and a fancy sword that shoots beams don't seem as tough when Mario can regenerate health and energy, cause earthquakes, freeze time, has increased strength and durability and can use powerful spells like Art Attack and Supernova.

I'll go ahead and skip to the item I won with last time, The Deku Nut. Mario can have all the powers he wants but they don't do him any good if he's frozen stiff.

That Fierce Deity argument you just stated is complete nonsense. You're talking about the four links from Four Swords, right? Well I have that game on my 3DS and when you get one item with one Link the others don't somehow acquire it as well.

@HeavyMetalLink05 A free shot? Hardly. Link would be too far away to be able to close the distance and perform a melee attack before Mario unshielded his eyes. His ranged attacks are either too slow (bombs, boomerangs) or take too much time to aim/prepare (bow and arrow). Besides, Mario could shield his eyes while jumping in the air, making it even harder for Link to aim his bow.

@bONz08r0nzan If he jumps with his eyes closed/covered then Link or one of the 3 others will hit him some how because what goes up must come down and unless there's a red star right there Mario can't do much about it. Link could just use the ice rod to freeze him in place and the only way ice wount effect him is if he's ice mario and if he is Ice Mario at the time then link can use the fire rod to melt him instead.

@HeavyMetalLink05 Which Ice Mario are you talking about? Ice Flowers from space turn him into an ice statue, yes, but regular ice flowers just give him the ability to throw ice at his foes. I don't think he'd be vulnerable to fire attacks in that mode.
Also, you're still implying that Link is fighting as four people. I already told you that if you bring in the Four Sword into the equation than Mario gets copy flowers. What's four Links compared to one or two dozen Marios?

the copy flower is a one round of attack type deal, as soon as they attack the copy dissapears. The four sword makes 3 exact replicas of Link and they don't just dissapear there just as real as Link. And if Link uses Nayru's love the copy's of mario wouldn't do anything

Yeah, using Nayru's love is a good idea. Until Link runs out of mana, that is. Luckily, Copy Flowers are one of the M&L items that don't require FP to use.

Also, if mario used the copy flower to surround Link wiht mario's then Link could just use Din's Fire which puts a huge barrier of fire around him then expands from his body and cover the whole place in unstoppable fire.

Theres no true evidence to see what falls where in the Zelda timeline. Only 3 games have a confirmed spot in the timeline, Skyward Sword then OoT and Majora's Mask no one knows if it actually splits or not though most believe it does. But even if the timline did spil he could still get them because they still exsist somewhere in time.

ocarina of time became a modern day legend. majora's mask definately lived up to its role as the sequel to OoT. i haven't played twilight princess, but it was one of the most hyped games of the decade. a link to the past was amazing for a SNES title. also, Link looks awesome.

@l4dgamer132 link would need to bring his array of weapons just to get past the first level. you seen mario kill every single one of his enemies in one jump or hit,he runs right into his foe makes them into his own weapon like the koopa shells.Plus mario has natual super strength, maybe those enemies of mario aren't so light of weak after all lol.And koopa shells are umbreakable so link wouldn't be able to stop those or shoot them down.

@l4dgamer132 all mario has to is jump on boo and hes dead,he dont any light arrows, lol.koopa shell's are unbreakable and thats only going to make him get into his shell and ram link endlessly.link can't stab bowser because of his shell,obviously bowser can just sneek into his shell and ram link,like he does in smg.who cares about story if this is a fight?mario can just posion link(slowly killing him),freze link,jump on him,or fly over link grab him and throw him.

@HeavyMetalLink05 mario can jump high naturally and he also jump long distances natually and even jump up buildings naturally.plus his jumps are one hit kill along with his punches, link would need his whole arsenal of weapons to stand against normal mario.Besides in some mario games his powerups have no time limit like the fireflower and iceflower just to name a few.

@ELRealBoredMario64 well all link would really need to beat mario is Nayru's Love, maybe his bow, and the Infinate magic milk.
and his jumps and punchs are one hit kills but only on goombas and koopas it takes several to beat the bosses and Link has 20 hearts and the 1/2 damage white rings around the hearts so he might as well have 40 hearts. the most life mario's ever had was 8 (mario 64) so link wouldnt have to hit mario anywhere near as many times as mario would have to hit him.
