  • it isnt good for horses to be worked and then allowed a drink of water. they like mentioned before can get colic or a twisted gut same thing and die. i have had a horse colic before and he almost didnt live. it is painful and they more often than not die from it. i raise horses and have used a team a time or two, no abuse happened here. boohoo if the horse is thirsty it has worked all day and after it cools down then can it have water.

  • It is dangerous to let a hot horse drink cold water like that. That horse needs to be walked and cooled off before its allowed cold water, otherwise it could colic and die. NO horse should be forced to pull a carriage through the streets of new york. When is this stupidity going to end.

  • @blazinghot18

Dude, they don't even look like they are sweating or anything. These horses just walk around, they are not that hot. How do you know the temp of the water also? These horses are fat and happy. I think the only stupidity here is you.

  • @blazinghot18 It requires an extremely HOT horse (like just ran the Belmont Stakes) being given cold water for it to be a problem. FWIW, the water comes from a lake in Central Park and is ambient temperature, not ice cold.

  • I don't like to see a horse ever get THAT thirsty, and I've handled horses for 40 years. they are not allowed to dawdle either -this is a concern.

  • Hmn, proof that the horses are healthy, well fleshed, working at an easy pace and are getting watered. Thanks for clarifying those facts. ;-)

  • The HUMANIACS must keep accusing people of abuse, or the donations STOP.

  • The only thing i see here are a few harnesses that dont fit quite right, but that is certainly NOT abuse!

  • All I see is a horse having a drink... do you think that because the horse drank this means it was being mis treated? ... No problem here, horses in great condition...

  • from the video these horses look very well cared for. They were of good weight and had gleaming coats (a sign of a good diet and good grooming)

These are draft horses or draft crosses and were originally bred to work a hell of a lot harder than they are working in NYC pulling carriages. These PETA people and people who shout abuse need to get a litetle more orse knowledge than they currently have!

  • You want instant proof, go to my channel and watch my vids, on stables, the farm for rotation breaks, training etc, etc.

It will set you straight, you'll enjoy them.

    Thanks

  • unless every single horse in NYC belongs to you, that is not instant proof. it's proof that only one person takes care of their horses.

  • oh brother.

  • Listen, where is YOUR PROOF of abuse !!!

    You are a biased PETArd.

No one expects you to stop drinking the kool aid. YOU ARE BIASED.

You scream abuse, I show carriage horses, mine and others to be healthy and happy, with all the things YOU SAY they don't have.

Still you worm your argument right passed the facts.

You are a lying FACSIST, who wants to make good look EVIL.

In a way you deserve pity, but not from me, I have read you arguments, they are based on hate and lies.

    Sick ,twisted

  • interesting demographic of animal lovers. you seem to enjoy the image of me in a nazi suit or drinking "krazy koolaid" with my freak friends.

if it will make you calm down a little, i am really just a normal person. i love and care a lot about those i share this planet with (including you) and raise my voice for those i believe could use a little more awareness.

i have no criticism of you personally, and i'd prefer not to be personally criticized.

    thanks!

  • Good to see proof that the animals have water available and are allowed to have water during their work day. That is a beautiful, well-cared for animal.

  • For more proof on how well the Horses of NYC are cared for , please view some of my vids.

    Thank you.

  • Cool, these carriage horses are beautiful and obviously well cared for. Thanks for showing that they get to stop and satisfy their thirst. It shows how their needs are met. Pretty cool.

Let's keep these beautiful horses in the city.

  • any horse will drink after a long days walk .. my horse does the same after a 4 hr hike through the mountains. it's normal.. shit wild horses trail countless miles everyday.. a stroll around the park a few hours aday isn't going to kill them.

  • Yes!

In the wild it has been reported that horses walk anywhere from 15-25 miles a day.

There is no little paddock on a farm where horses naturally come close to approximating that.

Carriage horses, however, get a lot of easy exercize (pulling the carriage is not hard for them), strolling through the Park.

Perhaps that's why (at least where I work in Philly) our horses live to ripe old ages (usually near 30) and remain healthy and fit well into their senior years.

  • This guy is INSANE!

  • Those are some beautiful horses. I could tell that they're well taken care of. =)

  • I have been taking videos of the horses in Central Park for more than a year now and I noticed that all the horses are very healthy and

well taken care of.Never saw any cruelty to horses too. Thanks for subscribing.Have a nice day!

  • @lagalagny thats all your capable of doing SPREADING LIES!

  • @ereyes312 They actually are not. Please watch the movie "Blinders"

  • @dogshenry Watch Blinders if you want propaganda. Also, what you see is the truth - well cared for horses in good health, moseying through the park.

  • well its all true but there are some i mean they do take care of them but somtimes its not good enoufgh to the public i guess its pretty hard to take care of so many big animals and the stalls are pretty high up keep i guess ita the publics fault not understanding i mean i sortof dont but then i do i guess its the fact that somtimes it hard to build stables and keep so many horses well cared for speacily if u dont have the staff but the horses are happy not complaning =] ive seen much worse

  • Actually, we have 5 stables...all have box stalls. 2 of the newest are state of the art with sutomatic waterers, ventilation systems, drainage, etc. All the stables have at least 2 stable men on duty at all times. When you look at the truth there is nothing wrong with the way our horses are cared ofr. The animal rights people lie about us a lot. peeba76 has many videos showing their outright lies. I think peeba is going to do a video on the stables, too.

  • im not responding to that ur not caring just that its hard to do it perfectly like u would to a show horse

and alot of peaple think that keeping them in the city isnt a life a horse should have horses now get way mroe care being wormed shoed propley groomed propley then they ever did

alot of peaple thnk wer i ride is a bbit yukky well it gets cleaned and sorted the food is protective just theres so many but there healthy and happy its just not sparkly clean1

  • peeba76 has been suspended, probably one step ahead of the law. Possibly wanted for assault and terroristic threats.

You stable has bars like HORSE JAIL?

  • Every stable has bars, moron. Go read a book about horses or do some actual research. UGH.

  • but im not replying to all the companys just the ones who thinck about money wich is only a few

  • well they live in a large field not really stables beacuse i cost to much for them to live in stables

im not talking about owners like u who have payed for a farm and gives ur horses breaks i mean some of the bigger company i dont always belive wat i read i belive wat i c and i give u thumbs up its great u invested in a farm and give ur horses a holiday =]

  • its defently not the drivers who lay the abuse its the way they live

the drivers are porbley the only peaple who care about them the owners dont do they job and mange the horses probleuy

  • Thanks Pika. It serves me well. Helps to consentrate on things that are really serious.

  • trixiebella, Horses are not abused bc they are

walking on pavement, pulling a carriage, socialized, or knowing what they are doing most of the time. Abuse is withholding food, gross neglegence, beating, and we all have to breath the same air. These folks are

sharing their god-given talents of horses.

I think it is wonderful that people use their

talents in their livlihood. I'm glad they prosper at it. That is how it is suppose to work. from where do you get your income?

  • rwold - I really like your perspective on things.

  • I've alway enjoyed watching a horse get his

thirst quenched. Something would be wrong if

    he didn't do that.

  • Horse lovers are welcome. Thanks for watching.

  • I guess these horses are thirsty no more!

  • When there were no cars, there were no CAR fumes for the horse to breath in, no CAR accidents killing horses, no CAR's honking on horns to scare them.

it is such a poor opinion to say the city in the old days was more polluted and dirty.??

How I feel is necessary, I'm sorry you don't see it that way, and as far as being extreme.. Well then, yes, I am EXTREMELY against animals being abused.

  • My ignorance, How ignorant is it to say, you don't like seeing horses being worked in such unnatural conditions..but they should be criticized!!!!!???

I don't care if they massage there ass every night before going home. They are putting the horse in harms way of a car accident. Hot whether, and horrific car emissions. Not to mention the fun of pulling stuff all day or standing still, or better yet the Horn HONKING.

Now how ignorant do you sound.

  • This farm of yours. Prove it.

  • sporeismylife You are the one who doesn't care. You probably have no choice in dumping bitches...they probably run screaning at the thought of a second date with you.

  • sporeismylife You can make a kid go to school but you cannot make him learn. Your lack of education is showing. Learn from this that a sentence starts with a capital and ends with a period.

  • What a fun thing to do!

  • This video is great. Im sick of hearing lies about how they dont have any water or we dont let them drink. The proof is in the pudding here!
