  • OLD SKOOL AT ITS BEST!!!!!!

  • How true that many of us have Ptsd, and the only thing I get is paxil, zombie

  • If they're for peace why is there war?

  • i came here to remind myself just how fucken stupid americans really are. i wonder what the average age of a combat fighter is in afghanistan or iraq is say...do any of the senators who start these fucken wars send their own kids into the army to fight them? fuck no --that would be putting them in harms way wouldn't it?

  • awesome track,takes me back

  • What the fuck has this video to with football? This video goes alot deeper then 22 idiot people kicking a round object. (I pissed alot of people off here, but Manchester Un. got nothing to with this, and before you say im a yank because I dont like football, dont worry im not. I live in a country where football is respected.) No one here gives a shit about Manchester United or football.

  • Those Vietnamese were tough fighters. They kicked both the French and China's ass in battles and wars.

  • You could apply this song to the disgraceful abuse of soldiers bravery in Afghanistan.... How do Bush and Blair sleep at night... Weapons of mass destruction not found in Iraq... This being the biggest lie of all...

As the Paul Hardcastle song says..."We weren't really sure what was going on." These architects of this war, publically showed off such an abuse of power.. Words fail me now.....

  • @hollowedhead they are both protected so it does not harm them. The question remains why are cowards politicians and why are politicians cowards. Answer ; It is not their blood or there brats blood that is spilled

  • na na na na na nineteen nineteen.......

  • I am a Man U fan, but WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL does a song about the Vietnam War have to do with soccer? WTF??!??

  • I turned 19 today.

  • The video and narration of this video comes from an ABC " news special" documentary titled, "Vietnam Requiem", which aired on July 15, 1982. (It was a thursday, definitly a Thursday- Rainman.) The topic is about how PTSD affected some Vietnam vets and how some committed crimes and were incarcerated at the time. Paul Hardcastle did a good job editng this together with the techno music...

  • Also ''Preventive war is like committing suicide for fear of death'' - Otto Von Bismarck.

  • ich war zwar noch ein Kind, habe aber viel mitbekommen, auch in Deutschland

denn mein älterer Bruder war ein verächter des Vietnamkrieges und auch ein Hippy und Blumenkind.

  • Bad times. Thank you for stopping the politics from the Bushes, Mr President Obama.

  • Thank you all who served in Vietnam.

  • Des des des des des des STRUCTION!

  • My dad served 2 tours there. He have never said a word about it, never... We knew not to ask either...painful for everyone.

  • Let's do everything possible to avoid this...

I know it is easy to say, but if we all are responsible and want to avoid the useless death of young people,

it will happen: NO MORE WAR!

  • @RogeCharles war is necesary inorder for peace to exist, just like peace is necesary for war to exist. you cnt have one, they come ins a combo whether you like it or not. plus, war is human's most basic and primitive instinct

  • @lexmark2300 Fighting for peace, is like fucking for virginity.

  • @redwraith122 indeed it is, its like a paradox:P

  • wow...some really messed up s**t going on in this. associating a song about death and war with soccer?? get a grip people.

  • @jltjake66 This song talks about what my generation went through because of the Vietnam war. I dated a man who was scared physically and mentally because of the war. He was 17 when he went over. He wouldn't let people close to him because he didn't want pity. He wouldn't let anyone love him because he equated love with pity because he was paralyzed on the left side and had shrapnel in his brain. Learn more about what is behind a song before you condemn it!

  • Why the fuck is this song even being associated with football?

  • @imwithstupid086 my sentiments exactly. Many of those that came back couldn't even play it, let alone see it.

  • @imwithstupid086 Because the average football supporter is a moron?

  • click Like if you sing this to people struggling with a speach problem.

this is a brilliant song it reminds me of being 12, when I was in vietnam?

  • If you came to this video because you watched "Born on the 4th of July", click like!

  • this is a deep video i love this song i am a persian gulf vet(89-92) much love to all the veterans

  • 2:10

'Eight to ten years after joining Liverpool, almost all Liverpool players and fans are still fighting, for their first Premier League trophy.

  • most of the replying only saw war on videogames - hefty misinterprete of reality.

  • @herauthon Exactly i hate the amount of stupid teens and young adults that think war would be fun when in reality its worse then hell and the only way out is to survive for long enough or die trying. Ive never been at war but i have seen a person die from an accident poor man was spassiming and vommiting while he died and it still stays with me, its what war must of been like, just a 1000 times worse. Shame on the players and makers of these games, fat overpaid I.T fuckwits.

  • @twinturboteen18

    I fully agree with you!

But, according to me, this song is against war.

This is why I like it and in addition it's pleasant to hear.

  • Love all and the enemy energy as there strength is there weak nest as they rest weekend weak in the head weak end as under there nose the toxic boogy woogy war will start never get to see the star shine in the dust clouds of mushroom monastery's monster clouds, the star's the army, navy , air force collect stripe's star's on there shoulder's as if they hero's will become zero's in the end they all turn in to manure in the ground for the flower's , tree's still will rise up from the toxic lands

  • @kanyeorc i was in vietnam, the average age was 12

  • Manchester United supporters have begun a campaign on fans' forums and on Twitter to get the Paul Hardcastle song 19 to No1 in the charts for this Sunday, when United may have already been crowned champions for the 19th time by beating Blackburn Rovers.

  • @lnasution76 What a shallow, insensitive arsehole the person responsible for this is!

  • shows just how bad war is thumbs up if you salute all the soilders that are in past and present wars!

  • bad piece of combat and i wasn't even alive then and i know how bad it was

  • It's messed up that the average age of the combat soldier in Vietnam was 19. Did that affect the outcome of the war? I mean, teenagers are stupid right?

  • I USED TO MIX THE SH*T OUT OF THIS RECORD, USUALLY WITH RAINFOREST, FUNKY SOUL MAKOOSA, ITS TIME, 122BPM, AND CLEAR BY CYBOTRON, BUT THIS MIXED WITH ANYTHING WITH 118 TO 126 BPM.

THIS MUSIC PUTS TODAY'S RB AND HIPHOP TO SHAME, THIS WAS REAL MUSIC!

I CAN STILL SEE THE AMAZED LOOK ON THE PEOLPLE'S FACES ON THE DANCE FLOOR AT THE CLUB WHEN I FIRST STARTED PLAYING THIS...

AWESOME TUNE, PAUL HARDCASTLE IS A MUSIC GENIOUS!

    DJ NICKY D

  • its a good song, too bad most of their facts were wrong lol

  • 17. live with it.

  • I remember blasting this on 6x9's....those were the days!

  • now is few genres of music direction with visual motion , no war plz :D

  • Before it was Hip Hop, Rap music used to have a conscience.

  • @15230 This is Freestyle music, not Hip-Hop or Rap.

  • Maybe all of us who remember this song will also take a good look at our current situation.

  • Brings back memories from high school

  • you can not call it tooo cool , ok the song is great but listen closely to the words , at that moment when a lot of soldiers died there , it was seriously dead serious .

That time was not cool .

Just listen and learn from it .

  • @Marcodisius1 Vietnam War is not cool!!

  • TOOOOO cooolllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • The Oscar judges was thinking with their ass that year!

  • I think that Tom Cruise should have gotten an Oscar for his part in "4 of July". (This song reminds me of that film).

  • My only living brother was home on leave from Operation Desert Shield first time I heard this. It stuck with me all these years. Today is 11/27/2010. Tonight I found it again. It still brings back those memories

  • Craig Rounthwaite Born on this day June 12th, 1985...

  • Feed and fellate a veteran today, it's your duty.

  • I love all the people who act all Peace this and Peace that about this war when they're clearly historically clueless about the whole thing. Bummer

  • @wordup834 Clue us up then. Tell us what you think we should know. Back up your words.

  • LOL . allahu AKBAR

  • some of the best electro ever made.

  • "none of them received the heroe´s welcome. none of them."

    Purple Heart.

My question is: why did this war start? I mean: why was Vietnam a big menace for the US? What was the US looking for over there? Or what were they trying to protect?

  • @MrAvatarcito Look up "The Domino Theory". It was feared that Communism would spread throughout South East Asia, threatening the interests of the West.....The US sent "advisors" to help the French against a Communist uprising. At the Dien Bien Phu the French got their arses kicked, and soon, all out war began (by which time Vietnam had been partioned - North Communist, South a republic). The rest, as they say, is history......

  • @MrAvatarcito Spread of communism

  • Was there saw a lot of good men die. We did are part. the U S of A let us down as they will the new VETs? To all Vets I Salute You Ten -Hut

  • @runawaychild66 Hahaha, you're practically brain-dead

  • what a futile and stupid war..

  • I had a buddy of mine who was obsessed with this song. He was born in 1971 and acted like h e served in Vietnam.

It was ridiculous. I was roommates with him and one month he couldn't pay his rent because he bought a batman costume. Another time he bought a full vietnam soldiers uniform from united army surplus and used to wear it around the apartment.

    Total clueless fuckjob.

  • @rrtodd95 Was his name Phil Cassidy?

  • @TimothyParadox1 No, Sean Palmer.

Seriously, we came home and the fuck job was sitting in the living room drinking a beer dressed like batman. We where like, he Sean, why are you dressed like Batman and he look sat us as if to say, why wouldn't I be dressed like batman?

Keep in mind it wasn't even October no where near halloween, it was may. Two months later, he buys full metal jacket on vhs and now he's dressed like a GI using field slang from the movie.
