My Celtics could really use this guy. He's long and athletic and unlike Perk, he can knock down the jumpshot. Perkins inability to go straight up after a dunk causes missed opportunities to score inside. The Celtics usually go after experienced vets, but what they need is an athletic big man to run with Rondo and get easy baskets via alley oops and putbacks..

He's got a great sense of the game for a guy his size already with an athletic form that could give the rockets a much needed boost when looking to keep up the pace when Aaron Brooks or Kyle Lowry are pushing the ball like they do.
If they didn't get Whiteside, they wouldn't be without hope because Cole Aldrich from Kansas will likely be available for Houston to select in the event Whiteside gets bumped up.

he can block shots, but that doesn't mean he's a good defender.
