I have been a fan since the start of Lowen and Navarro. I am a nurse and have had the experience of working with ALS patients, they are the most courageous patients I have ever worked with! My love and prayers re with you!
I know what you are talking about dsheblby66. I lost a good friend to ALS years ago. He was just 36 and died one day before christmas. He left two little boys a wife and me -his good friend. It was just so incredibly sad that I can't tell!
God watch over you Eric Lowen Support stem cell research its the only hope for an ALS cure. Why is the strong, the Lou Erigs the Leadbellys and sadfully the Eric Lowen's who get stricken?
I saw them play this song at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival on the Main Stage in 2006. There was an older man standing next to me and tears were streaming down his cheeks during this song. The whole audience was very moved and it was very touching. I really hope that they are going to be able to get this out on a cd. It's an incredibly powerful song.
I just recently got into them and learning about them as individuals. Such great musicians. Eric, please stay strong and know that someone who has never met you (or Dan) has you in his prayers. God Bless.
These guys are legends. I am greatful to have see them play live. They are very moving. Powerful lyrics. They have touched all our lives in so many ways. Thank you L&N.
This is one of my favorite bands of all time. So under-rated. Not too many acts that can give you a live show like they do. An Amazing Band.. First saw them in the early 90's and have been hooked since. My whole family love them too!!
I am Dan's son, Joseph! I have known Eric and his kids pretty much all my life. It is really sad to see him struggle with ALS, but I am really grateful that he keeps such an optimistic attitude, even with a fatal disease. Be ready to hear this song on the new album, (no title yet) set to be released in early 2008! Can't wait to see them perform on the fan club cruise!
I am best friends with Eric's stepdaughters. I know him personally, and he's a completely amazing person. I personally get inspired whenever I see him. Thanks eric, for the song, and for being so great.
"Learning to Fall" is a song written about Eric's diagnosis with ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Eric is an amazing man and deals with this devastating debilitating illness with grace and dignity. We can all learn alot from him.
"Learning To Fall" was written by Eric Lowen & Preston Sturges in 2005, but has not yet been released on CD. It will be on the next Lowen & Navarro album. That's Phil Parlapiano on accordion.
Very nice performance & good luck.
Anyone gonna post their song with Essra Mohawk, "I've Had It All" from Broken Moon?
I'm curious to hear it as I'm a big Essra fan.
Essra wrote CL's "Change of Heart" & TT's "Stronger Than The Wind" + it's her vocals on SHR's "Interjections" & "Sufferin' Till Suffrage."
