What gave New Orleans its soul & culture before Katrina was the city
was 60% African-American.
They've demolished low income housing to build pricey condos and poor folk have been
gentrified out. I see a few African-Americans on the street but its not the
same. If we went to N.O. now I'd probably walk thru the 9th ward bawling.
If you never lived there back in the day you wouldn't understand.

There were 17 stages with fantastic bands from some of the greatest jazz musicians in the world, as well as some great gospel and country bands.
These stages were on the courthouse steps on Royal street.

Grt performances of the bands....
It was a grt French Festival for a three days well, for me i went the last day but had a grt time. From food, music, ppl, & the nice sun.
