  • When you do these songs, do you really interpret it the way it feels? Because though I have no education in asl, I know some basic signs, and what you sign isn't the literal song (I think). So I'm basically asking what you're doing, hah. Either way, it is so beautiful the either way you do this. Absolutely moving and passionate :)

  • again wow your amazing at signing do you take classes?

  • AMAZING! I've never seen anyone sign with as much passion and talent. Have you considered signing "speechless" or somebody that I used to know?" It would be beautiful like everything else you do. Keep it up! Very inspirational!

  • What's the sign at 00:42/00:43?

  • You are so amazing at interpreting! :D This was done really beautiful and GOOD!

  • Wow! You are amazing! I am an interpreter, but I can only hope to strive one day to have half of your beautiful interpretations. Keep it up, I will continue to watch and share with as many deaf and terp peeps I have.

  • You are a nice girl, I like your videos. I wish I had such ASL skills.

  • Do you have a background in dance? this is the first video i've seen of yours and I just have to say, that this is beautiful. I love the flow of your movements.

  • are you deaf? because you are really good!!!! :-)

  • This video is amazing. The facial expressions are right on. They tell the story. I wish I could sign with such heartfelt meaning

  • I was just pronounced deaf, I This song means everything to me (: LOVE IT!!(: <3

  • This gave me goose pimples!!! LOVE!

  • wowee! i studied asl for all 4 years of my high school career and not once did i ever think to inteperet the entire story as a whole instead of doing "pure asl o.s.v. conjugation" this is beautifully and brilliantly done! i wish i had thought to do my videos in this way!

  • This is just amazing. As a student of ASL in high school, level 1,I have decided to become an interpreter. This is truly beautiful, this is art!

  • I am a professional interpreter, and this is blowing my mind!! You are BRILLIANT!!! For those of you asking her to caption the ASL, it's not possible. True native poetry cannot always be interpreted, and this is one example; the English wouldn't do it justice. BRAVO!!!

  • freaking awesome

  • As amazing as this is. I barely understand a single sign in this video because even the deaf song interpreters follow the lyrics more exactly. However, major props to you for interpret the song in your own way, and not using SEE. :D

  • please do add captions! im still new at ASL and im kinda lost :(

  • @Cngwt96 she doesn't do word interpretations, she depicts what the singer is trying to say. she doesn't sign the lyrics per say

  • @BexHappy128 ohhh..i see. but it'd be cool to put captions on whatever she's signing. like just words to help us newbies. :)

  • beautifully done!

  • I love how you do ASL, its perfect and ur preety

  • you're amazing

  • Wow, that gave me goosebumps! <3 (hearing ASL student) Your facial expression was so fantastic- it could have moved me to tears.

  • Wow you are amazing! You are wonderful song of the ASL quality of the performance! You did a wonderful job!

  • You are amazing lady :)

  • Oh my gosh!!!! This is so fabulous! This makes me think that my video is horrible... o_o

  • Vc é D+ ;-)

  • parabens pela interpretação estou aprendendo muito com vc mesmo não sabendo (asl) continue postando videos assim.E ainda quero fazer um pedido para interpreta (And I Am Telling You I´m Not Going -jennifer Hudsom )

  • I myself am only partially deaf but love watching you and others sing and sign.....I wish I knew how to sign better then just the alphabet.

  • Could you add captions to your videos, please? Sorry, i'm a rookie at ASL.

  • Your so amazing -3 I truly feared for your heart at the end there. Keep strong and keeping signing you're amazing!

  • that was amazing! I really enjoyed your performance. I could really see the hurt and pain, and then strength in your interpretation.

  • Absolutely amazing

  • Wow, you're amazing!! :)

  • You're really amazing

  • Fabulous. I don't know ASL, only BSL, but you're clear enough that I can get the meaning from you. You've done the song justice and keep up the great work! Sadly BSL sign singing isn't as prevalent on YouTube as ASL, so I have to get my sign singing enjoyment in ASL, so thanks for your great videos :)

  • My jaw dropped with the whole jar of heart where you open the jar lol amazing

  • This is amazing you are the best person at ASL I have seen on YouTube words can't explain how good you are did you grow up learning it or did you take a class?

  • Dude, do you know how good you are? I don't know much about sign language but, even without the song, i still understand the story your telling. And your facial expressions are awesome.

  • Your amazing!!!!!!!!

  • I think you are interpreting the song...and frnkly, youre doing a hell of a great job (:

  • I love that she interprets "Jar of hearts" by saying he is acting big headed going around wooing everyone, she is just great, I could go on and on, but anyone watching this surely understands already, I hope I have the nerve to post a video one day, I love sign-singing, but I am nowhere near this good. BRAVO!

  • holy crap. that was beautiful. You have an amazing grasp of ASL. good stuff! I look forward to more videos!

  • @thejerlene, I'm not deaf. I guess I can't appreciate it. I'm still learning it, with no help, so that's why. I just dont know enough of the Language/ culture.

  • wow. . . . this is really inspiring me too eat some cookies. . . u r amazing darling!!!

  • I agree with CDeeez94. I just put up a video of this song, and I don't really recognize any words that are actually sung. No offense, of course.

  • @artisticreating it's because she's not signing the song word for word, she's interpreting the music into her own story.

  • @artisticreating Obviously you don't sign then. You're not deaf so you can't fully appreciate this.

  • I feel like you're interpretting the music video, instead of the song, because I'm not recognizing many signs that pertain to the song. I mean, you're still doing a very good job of showing the antagonist taking the hearts, but I'm not really seeing anything that relates to what the protagonist is truly saying.

  • Way better than the real music video no offense to the artist

  • Is there anyway you could Put the words in the description? (the ones you're signing, not necessarily the Lyrics)

  • amazing ! <3 wish i could sign like that :/

    still in asl 1

  • i love this(:

  • She's so purrrty C:

  • @TheTat1992 those two are actually different languages, the people that uses word-by-word are using SEE or PSE (english sign language) which is a sign language using english grammar, but ASL, which she uses in this video is a whole lot different language, with different grammar. that's why there's 2 types. the one that are titled ASL but uses PSE are just mislabeled.

  • @1rakaarfi I think that is TheTat's point. Most videos, even those for ASL classes/finals, are so often PSE.

  • Man I wish I could see you interpret a play. You are so gorgeous and a fantastic interpreter.

  • unfortunately that happened to me

  • 0:39........did she do the dougie?....lolololol..anyway...AWESOME signing!!!!

  • I have looked through a lot of ASL stuff and you are the best one!

  • I thought that was a very good interpretation, however, wouldn't it be kind of important to the song to sign "WHO YOU THINK YOU [ARE]?" I mean, I think it's kind of a symbolic part of the song.

  • @CDeeez94 Guy, didn't you see it in her interpretation? She looked at him, and her brows went sad, she showed defeat and just dropped her hand. That says, "Who do you think you are," in ASL perfectly, I think. It's about interpretation, not sign-english. Look up the difference.

  • Very well illustrated. You are wonderfully animated and I hope you continue the videos. Perfect way to practice ASL ;D. THANKS LOTS!!!

  • could you possibly sign "Mr. know it all" by kelly clarkson?? I would love to see that signed :)

  • Wow this was like watching a horror movie... he traps the girls and eats them down, evil laugh!!hahaha EXCELLENT

  • my sister and I love this video so much!!! you are sooo amazing at sign language!!!! she is actually doing this for her asl college project and I plan on doing this for my high school talent show!!! I only hope that we can do it as well as you do!! keep on signing :)

  • OH WOWWWWWW! That was absolutely the best ASL cover I have ever seen! Amazing! :-)

    Joe

  • I am amazed at how much emotion you show and how well you switch between the different characters. It is inspiring. I am sure I am not the only person to ask, but you could you post your glosses of the interpretations. I understand the meaning behind all you sign. I just don't know every sign you use. My teachers might be getting of me coming to them after every class asking what a sign I saw you use means. lol

  • I still can't get over your expressions in this song. They are really impressive. You are the reason I'm obsessed with this song lately! Keep up the good work

    C:

I just want to say that your interpretation of this song is AMAZING. Personally, I love 2:45 until the end.

  • You're flawless. Everything you do is completely amazing, and this simultaneously made me cry and gave me chills. Simply beautifully heartbreaking.

  • @Dobby6073 hah, I had the same reaction!

  • this is so beautiful. i would love a tutorial?? its hard to learn from watching (any asl video) and i would LOVE to learn this!! (im young and learning off the internet no officialness lol)

  • I love your signs! Do you think you could post the glossed lyrics?

  • You Remind Me Soooo Much Of A Sim From The Sims :p

  • Your message in the translation is crystal clear. I love the style of your signing. It touch me on every level and even your facial expression and your body language prove to be very entertaining and extremely artistic as well. Kelly, I love you at the depth of my heart.

  • Again more beautiful signs

  • I would love to see someone do "Her Diamonds" ASL or "When the Wind Blows"

  • I love the fact that you're actually INTERPRETING the song and not just signing it word-for-word like many people would do! this is so good!!!

  • You are AMAZING!!!

  • This is amazing. No other words to explain it but amazing.

  • You should take this to Americas got talent.

  • Again Amazing and Again loved the facial expressions :)

  • You look like Natalie Portman, Beautiful :D

  • There's a reason why your channel has thousands of views. You're a great interpreter!

  • you would make such an excellent actress!

  • This is so amazing, i fucking love this langauge

  • Really enjoyed how you showed the collection of hearts. Really nice and conceptual.

  • some day. . . and i know he will stay by my side when thigns get tough. and he will love me for me. and it will as perfect as we can make it. so thank you for this realization. it made my day better. i hope you keep making videos : ) you go girl<3

  • this song you did in ASL was so beautiful. i love your exspressions. i loved it. it gave me a warmth in my stomach knowing i'm not the only one this has happened to. i had one boyfriend. i thought he was the one. then i found out he was just using me for my love, and that he was dating my friends as well. using us like a mpit stop to refule on energy and fake confidence to get more women. i was ten. i thougt it was serious. he scared me out of all relation ships. but now i know i can find him.:)

  • AWESOME! your expressions are great ASL too.

  • You are amazing :) I'm learning ASL (i'm hearing but find it fascinating). Do you think it would be possible for you to do a tutorial for this song? On how to sign it? I'd be so helpful. Thank you !

  • Awesome interpretation and facial expressions!!!

  • Also, while normally I hate asking someone this as it's a label and really means nothing, and could be taken offensively... but are you Deaf? If Hearing, I must say, you think in concepts as beautifully as someone who is Deaf, just.... wow

  • Your videos are not videos... they are experiences. <3

Watching this made me tear up. You are my inspiration for my hoped future abilities in signing

  • you are amazing and what you do is also amazing. i really think people that cant hear thank you too for what you do so thxs again and plz keep doing what you are doing!! thx

  • This is amazing. I love your interpretation of the song. I was wondering if you could post your Gloss for this? I'm an ASL student and there are some signs you do in here I don't recognize, so I'm curious what they are.

  • You are an AMAZIG signer!!! I almost cried watching this with all the emotion you showed troughout it...I LOVE ITTT!! Keep it up (:

  • i love your facial movements..most people dont know that the face is everything!! :)

  • you are amazing! i love your facial expressions and the emotion you put into this, its so real and i feel like your so passonite!

  • You are really pretty! You really have amazing facial expressions and feeling with your signing :)

  • OMG that was soo good! Ur emotions and skill make even more incredible

  • I am impressed by your skills and the emotion you put into your videos. You are such an inspiration :) I just watched Grenade for about the 5th time in 2 days and now I'm stuck with this one. Keep the videos coming, you are amazing! :)

  • i realllllllly love your facials that amaze me and i love your translations :D keep doing what your doing

  • hey :) your signing videos are so awesome! i am new to signing songs (i do australian sign-language). It seems like you don't sign the individual words, but what the artist means (which is great because it gives a real interpretation). Also that you don't sign the exact same thing for the chorus each time. So I was just wandering how you did that, and what you were sort of saying. :) Thanks!

  • .... I don't quite know if I should be utterly envious, or filled with inspiration x)

  • beautiful. great interpretation. i love all your song interpretations. and great facial expressions.!

  • You are so amazing.. Your interpretations and facial expressions are perfect.

  • I agree... Facials are the best part ^_^

  • Your facials are AMAZING! (:

  • I wish she would caption what all of the signs mean. I'm so curious.

  • ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • WOW JUST WOW !!!!!! This gave me goose bumps. <3

  • Wow! This is fantastic! Reminds me of how much ASL is a separate language. Very expressive and clever use of the lanuage. Great job!

  • Do you think you could put up a GLOSS of this song? I've been trying to interpret it but this is a tricky song. I would appreciate it a ton. Thank You.

  • in this one and Grenade you do the same thing - the I love You sign, and then you wiggle your pointer finger. Is that to emphasize what you're saying?

  • @hideintheshadows17 haha no it doesn't mean anything...Its just something I do- not sure why haha

  • @kmklined haha. okay :) it looks like you're emphasizing it. but okay :)

  • @kmklined got to have some classes done or look in your community for deaf meet ups asl is welcomed to teach byall not hard at all

  • @kmklined I kinda think of the ily sign as a person: and the wiggle means they are saying it or something.. lol.

  • @hideintheshadows17 it means hi and bye in sign ASL

  • This is an AMAZING interpretation. It is simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. Let me remind some that interpretation's goal is to convey meaning, NOT to translate words to sign where meaning is lost. Again THANK YOU for sharing the beauty of ASL!

  • 123456mjfan: the sign means: evil, malicious & depending on context devil/demon. Here it is used as evil.

  • Nippleripper: the sign is content/satisfied when the palm orientation is down. When the fingers spread & slide down as open 5 hands, the sign is grievous or devastating. The context is that he returns boastful & content in his conquests. This of course grieves/devastates her.

  • Appletrice: the root sign is manipulate. The context suggests that is sinister manipulation of women who fall in love with him

  • This is incredible.

  • That was absolutely amazing! I can't describe how amazing I think your interpretation of Jar of Hearts was. It brought tears to my eyes... absolutely beautiful.

  • one of my favorite signs is at the end wen u flick most of the ily away...... so cool

  • WOW this was AMAZING!

  • @undeadda Can you tell me what that sign is at 1:03 where her hands are facing down in front of her chest and stomach, I've been learning ASL for about a month from my deaf friend and his interpreter and i can't remember that sign, i wanna say its a feeling or emotions but I think im wrong lol, please tell me ASAP :)

  • @nippleripper. Satisfied from all the hearts he has been collecting and "devouring."

  • Wow. I am speechless. Ive been telling every single person I know to watch your videos for the past two days and I'm going to continue until everyone knows who you are. You are one of , if not THE, most skilled and talented ASL performers Ive ever seen. Please keep making videos!

  • @appletrice

That sign is more for BUTTER-UP/FLATTER. In her interpretation the meaning that I got was "he meets many girls to flatter/butter them up and goes through them one at a time." Please correct me if I'm wrong. Beautiful interpretation!

  • @lzouch Thank you SOOOOO much! But now I'm more confused. In English to butter someone up isn't usually malicious but her facial expression is just pure joy in malice. It's totally masterful. If I were to pluck that sign out and attempt to use it for my son that is how I would sign the Evil Queen casting the spell on Snow White's apple or on the spinning to make Sleeping Beauty sleep. I looked up "butter up" on aslpro.com I don't think that I would have recognized them as same sign. Incredible!

  • @lzouch I feel a lot less confused now. It is also the sign for "sweet talk". I appreciate your help!

  • What are the signs from ~:45 - :50? They're really wavy and look similar to the sign in "Grenade" @ 1:32. From the context I thought it was mesmerize, hypnotize or charm but it's not. Anyone?

  • I... am... speechless.... your fuckin' amazing!! (Pardon my language) and you are a hearing person… wow! You are even better than MY interpreters’ lol!
