is this valid also for DRAG racing??? I am trying to tune a Charger69 for drag race but I really don t know from where to start... I already built a Charger69(A600) with 675cv that did 11,879 1/4 mile... unfortunately it can't race online in the muscle car drag race as the maximum CV is 600... So I would like to know if is possible to build another one with 600cv that can make 11,879 1/4mile or even better... many thanks!!!
@maske14289 i'm not much of a drag racer, otherwise i would give it a shot to build a tune.
but some comments down "XTheOriginalNinjaX" Mentioned the calc did better than a bought drag setup. so maybe you should adjust your tune a little to get below the limitations and put it through the calc.
otherwise, put your tune in your storefront and send me a message here with your gamertag. i'll pick it up and try it just for the fun of it ;-)
@INSOMNIAC205 thank you very much, if you want my name tag is AlBy1489 and I have already put the tune in my storefront named as "Charger69 11s", I would like to improve it and to do something similar but for a Charger69 with less cv, 600 instead of 675 because the second one can't run in a muscle car drug race... ;)
Does using the calculator require any knowledge of cars? Because every video I've watched I hear how different tweaks effect tire temperture or anti roll bar stiffness and I get totally lost.
@Preserbius for the initial basic setup: not at all. thats exactely why this calculator is made. to allow everybody getting a basic tune for any car of choice.
if you need more tweaking because the first result doesn't work as intended (which i'd doubt) some knowledge would make sense. ;-)
so dear viewers, please... check through the comments or the forums thread.
i wont answer any more repetitive questions here.
for support check the forums first of all, please. a couple of FAQs are also dealt in the comments. please read first before asking the same questions again and again here.
@loverhate: for freaks sake: no already answered this here and on the last tutorial for v3
@J7A7C7O7: check you add-ins and input data (seperators , vs . )as already said numerous times
@Danielhsv0: well depends on your setup. i tweaked my MS wheel settings to be close to the controllers sensivity so i can use the calculator tunes for wheel and controller without major tweaks. basicaly the brakes will be intresting otherwise. (though i allways tweak the brakes much from the calcs results on)
1/5 increased top speed and decreased 0-60 and 0-100 im sticking with my way of tuning that keeps both top speed high and 0-60 + 0-100 low times added around 5 secs to my 0-60 on most cars i tryed
hmm, i even tried adding the other excel add-ins and the only thing being calculated are springs and dampening. I entered the name of the car correctly and everything but everything else is blank. I could really use some advice here. Appreciate it!
@SlipknotxX720 well except that i would select the car in H1 instead of writing in there, it sounds good. if all addins are activated, and you are sure you didn't mess up a dot with a comma i wouldn't know a cause right off. when in doubt please see/use the forums. its better there with screenshots and replys.
@INSOMNIAC205 Under tire pressure it constantly says #DIV/0! unlike yours which has ###### I'm not sure what this means maybe you do. Anyways, thanks for the help and tutorial.
I enter all this shit into the tuning calc and it doesn't spit out any changes. The only thing it shows to change is the alignment but then it doesn't give an angle. No gearing or anything automatically pops up. wtf?
@DiscGolfinSOB select your car in Cell H1. check your inputs to be complete (especially thinking of lateral G's here. and check everything to be correct. (look vor different seperators like comma and dot on weight and lateral G.
and check the wtf'ing analysis toolpack. but im sh!tting sure you simply missed the car selection.
And stop swearing around like a toddler for nothing but user errors.
@INSOMNIAC205 -- Definitely did NOT miss the car select cell. In fact I tried multiple cars and nothing still popped up. I input all the info just like the video shows. Still nothing changes. Any other suggestions?
@DiscGolfinSOB Did you go to file option add-ins excell add-ins and go and select the analysis toolpak and make sure your entering everything correctly in the right spots. it worked for me.
I gave this little spreadsheet a go today with my Honda Integra Type R. I upgraded it to B500 and ran it on the Short Tsukuba Circuit. I managed to get just a little over 2000th place on the leader boards, I have never been that far up. I think with a better driver it could easily get into the top 1000 maybe top 700 with a slight tweak here and there. Top stuff thanks for the tutorial.
People start reading please. or take a closer look at the screens in the video. when talking about the download part, the sreens show the exact position of the links.
they are located on the opening post of the calculators thread, below the screenshots there is "[Requirements]", "[Instructions]" and "[DOWNLOAD]" and there you click on the words "Excel 97-2003" or "Excel 2007-2010" depending on your excel version. Thanks very much.

@patriotman555 this happens on a few cars. mainly on heavy weighted (Roll bars and dampers). either reduce weight of your car or try to lower the issued sliders with the advanced sections related field (very slowly)
@patriotman555 oh my first reply was a little of as i got you wrong i guess. so ehrm you sir should first learn about the words "adjustable tuning parts"
to adjust parts the have to be the biggest level of upgrades. (note the green "adjustable" word in the description in the shop)
thogh some things still remain unadjustable since no adjustable upgrades are available for a car. (transmission on Peugeot 107 or Tesla roadster or other hybrid cars for example)
@INSOMNIAC205 The formulas all seem to evaluate on Office 2011 for Mac even though the mac version of Excel doesn't include the Analysis Toolpak. So for any other mac users it seems this point is irrelevant if you have the latest version of MS Office for Mac.
@d0nMeeCH mnchkn wrote the cars specs are collected in the database. so we have to wait for Slave Munky to update the file itself. from the former versions it shouldn't take very long now. unless he is on something bigger with the calculation formulas. dont take this as announcement please, but i'd expect an update somewhen this week. as said its up to SMs progress so dont rely on my "feeling" too much
