  • Coool

  • I think it looked like an almost complete union pacific challenger / just my thougts.

  • Looks like the Y6b and the Class A combined.

  • Not a bad piece of fabrication for what I presume to be a single-expansion articulated. How'd it run, hot and under pressure?

  • @bcschmerker Yes. Runs effortlessly on just a couple burners. There is only one throttle and sometimes the front engine doesn't have enough weight on it so the wheels slip a bit. But I don't think Moe is going to start another one; I believe he is turning 90 this year.

  • cool

  • Cab is too high

  • So it is true that some Americans are very tall and must ride about on a steam puffer.

  • big space under firebox...whats missing?

  • firebox should be deeper i think.

  • maybe the grate part is seperate and not fitted so the part we see here is where the water jacket finished?

  • Probably the ashpan.

  • From the wheel arrangement, this looks a bit simular to the N&W Class A 2-6-6-4 Locomotive #1218.

  • I dodn't even want to know the man hours invested in that engine. Truly impressive!

  • Neat!

  • should look good when done!

  • Gonna be a beauty.

  • Interesting.
