  • Is this the fix for the video card problem? I mean the screen problem?

  • NEVER DO THIS, YOU CAN DAMAGE YOUR MOTHERBOARD FOREVER

    use only IR-station

  • WHAT???? 420 °C????? are you crazy? 220 °C is max, cuz lead solder melts at 220 °C

  • lol idiot

  • idiot amateur it`s a temporary fix , also u can damage your chip

  • My laptop has black screen and keeps rebooting. Is it faulty video card? Is there anyway to fix it like replace the video card? Thank you so much!

  • Do not do that. It may damage your motherboard. You need to change the chip. This action is only for the diagnosis before you replace the chip! You are deceived. It's not cool!

  • thank you! is very good

  • this is odd: reassembling procesor without a thermal paste.. and.. the last secons of this video didn't really prove the fiabillity of this method.. anyway, good luck to everyone willing to take the risck..

  • It's amazing. Yesterday, I became the error message. Today, i used your video Tutorial to repair my notebook with the hot air station. It works ! Thank you very much.

  • @parad0X1986 Well DONE ! What maximum temperature U use ?

  • @xxorandor

exactly the same like u. I placed my smartphone with youtube beside my workstation and copy your work. The I need 6 hours but it works and thats important. The Hot Air station was also the same. But i cant believe, the fix hold on a lifetime. Its only a temporary fix...

  • @parad0X1986 Me work just 1 year with this solution... the themperature 420°C is needly for dissolution the tin balls and so secure long time contact betwen gpu and socket. Is good prevent the temp performance for cpu and gpu . For example put copper slice betwen gpu and heatpipe. Nice Day

  • @xxorandor

Thanks for the idea with the copper slice, but now my notebook is closed. ;) Nice day

  • @xxorandor

To warm the crystal chip temperature can be different to the maximum, allowing to melt tin. You can heat the chip up to 150 C for one minute and it will give you a week of work. But you can heat the chip up to 350C and the chip will last one day. But it must be done regularly and eventually degrades the microchip. Same way scammers make money by repairing the defective chips so nvidia, heating them goryachm air. This problem is well known on the forums to repair laptops.

  • I'am sure to use this declared 420°C temperature, because I just 4 times reflow chipset where I start in first attempt with 230°C only.

With temperature less than 420°C notebook failure in some time. With 420°C notebook working properly long time after this service solution. Have a nice day.

  • 420°C !? Dude, solder melts at 180°C, you seriosly risked to destroy the chipset itself!

  • @coccoborg lead free solder, as used on this motherboard, melts from 211 to 220ºC and 420ºC the way it was used on that video is not raising even 300 on the board.

Anyway, I agree with you when it comes to destroying the chip, MCP67M is very problematic and that is not the recommended procedure.

  • If symptoms identical, this is the ideal solution. I tried, and it works! thanks for the video!
