Christian Cullen , the best then . still the best now.
Dropped by John Mitchell in 2003 for Ben Atiga the five minute all black , and drought horse leon MacDonald and some pasty fellow named ben blair. what a joke.
See how emotionless Cullen is when he scores those tries. Especially the one where Lomu Gridions the ball to cullen. Nothing got to him. And thats very mature for him cause Cullen would have been either 19 or 20 at the time. Good on you brother. You sure are a legend of all time!
Good point! Watch the second half of the 2000 Bledisloe Cup game, when he has a run after Tana fields a kick and chip kicks ahead for Cullen to run onto, Jonah uses his left foot, makes sense him being a left winger then. This is from 41.28 on the TV time clock.
Cullen and Lomu were unstoppable in sevens at this moment in their careers. Its incredible that neither won a world cup winners medal in the XVs game though.
@pharry4life Blame useless Hart for not dropping Jeff Wilson who was past his best in 1999 and playing Cullen at centre. Blame John Mitchell for dropping Cullen at 27 years old after he gad got back to his best and for dropping Merhtons for Spenser. I still don't know who Ben Atiga is he was THAT GOOD. Those coaches were in la la land.

I never thought about it before but due to that throw, is Jonah Lomu left handed?

Ah, yes, NZ's domination of the 7's circuit (except this year!) doesn't spill over into 7's World Cups either! Parallels?
Good to see great England players like Back and Rodber played 7's as well.
