Looking more deep into the FACE thing, did the Author said somewhere, that the real meaning of the game was scaring the player, or did he actually put a significance to all of the symbols and the appearances in the game?

Because that "Face" has many meanings, considering the only person that appears in the game is the girl herself, (the other blonde girl is the same person, just divided). Truly, calling this "Just a shit so you can get scared" would be a waste.

@coniineko Well, looking into the process of how you get to Kyukyu-kun and FACE, you can see that there are very...suggestive pieces of symbolism. Firstly, note how the opening of the zipper into the room is almost hymenal in form. Secondly, there's the obviously...phallic form of Kyukyu-kun and the way he's...rubbing down that pole. Lastly, taking into account how FACE looks just like a (pardon my language) dick and how Madotsuki immediately wakes up...

Many of the theories are plausible and intriguing, but no one can prove the ultimate meaning of the game but the author himself. My own theory differs from the pre-existing ones, but I do not claim mine to be the right one. The "just for scares" is just one of the infinite ways of interpreting FACE and the entire game itself, but even this statement is a theory itself...

Regardless of what anyone may think, Uboa is a random event and I wouldn't deem him to frightening as such. Besides, he fits the status quo of what a dream is: random.

Now, FACE....as soon as that unhappy zipper appears, it's a CONSTANT stream of events. FACE completely denies the rules of a dream and is ALWAYS there. Because of that, FACE is doubly important and all the more crucial to the pysche of Mado.

There are alot of things that could hint at several tragedies that Madotsuki faced before the events of the game. One is some accident she saw, and another mainly being she was raped. 0:03, interpret that differently, along with kyuukyuu-kun and also "face" which looks more like something else than a face if you look closer at it. That, and taking note at alot of the bloated stomach creatures, and also plenty of bloody orifices and other phallic looking objects.
