@drewwaterz1686 prolly like 10 or 12 mpg highway....believe it or not though, the 383 and 400 big blocks actually get good mileage if you don't drive crazy, i've heard quite a few people say that their 400 2-barrel gets 18, 19 mpg highway. The 440 is pretty much the same bore size as the 400, the 440 has a 9mm longer stroke though so you can see how that'll make gas mileage plummet. I like big blocks with short strokes personally.
Alright man! Watchin this vid again 5 months after watchin it the first time, STILL just as impressive, if not MORE! Cheetah sounds like THE way to go! Thnx for postin the VID and thnx for postin the specs! Preciate ya! When will ya be postin more vids a this bad boy! Looks like ya need some LARGER or at least STICKIER tires there man! WHOA!...
Cheetah SCS manual valve body is the way to go. This one is a reverse pattern, which also helps. Get the parts from Summit and have a good local shop do the work. Not really complicated.
Car's nice, engine sounds REALLY nice! However, the SHIFTING is what REALLY caught my ear!
What in the HECK did ya do to your transmission to get it to shift so crisply?? I want that! Mine shifts as though I'm riding the clutch! However, I have a bone stock BB 727 behind a 440... Please give us the low down and specs on this bad boy, and ESPECIALLY whatever it is ya did to the trans! and what type of trans? 904 or 727?
@superbee1970 Hi ya doing? sorry it took so long to get back, you probably have yours shifting like that by now but if you don't, i have a 1972 BB 727trans i had it rebuilt and put a turbo action reverse pattern manual valve body in it and thats all you need. but i have a turbo action cheetah scs shifter reverse pattern and when you shift you know it, it's right now!! i do have a well built 440 thats about 15 years old but still goes..turbo action is the way to go. thanks for the post.
Nice goal, but it would be very unpractical to try to make that much power in such a small motor. In order to hit that mark your compression would be sky high which means you would need to run race gas in the car, and boost it. stroke a 383 or 440 and you can get there. - Senk
Nice Duster bro, I have a Supra but I will always be a Mopar guy at heart!
