  • Thats mostly straight outta the blues scale? am i right

  • @theguitarguymike That's why the lesson is called "Pentatonics" :)

  • @smellmyclock It's really not that hard :) Just takes a bit of practice!

  • Love the sound of your guitar, how is the neck compared to other brands?

  • @Dragslo I love the way it plays. It's not a shredder neck but more like a Les Paul neck. Great tone and playability.

    Todd

  • hahhahahaha i love your shirt

  • @MIKEHOWW You can get a MEH shirt on my merch page. Enjoy!

    Todd

  • Todd can u plz give me the tabs 4 wat u r playin @0:58 ?.......thks

    btw ur gr8

  • @sarpiresthedatsuns I never created tabs for this but it's basically just mucking about inside the scale. As long as you end on a root note and stay in the scale, you're there.

  • That's called a "Squeal" or a "False Harmonic" depending on which guitar snob you happen to be asking at the time. It's a traditional hard rock technique and I use it quite a bit :) I've got a full lesson on it. Check my lesson playlist.

  • Hi Todd I really like your lessons , now after some practice i'm playing much faster thnks!

the only problem is when i play on my feet , stand , i can't even play the half i play sitt

i don't know if i am the only fool with that problem , i expecet you could help me with that!

sorry for my english i'm from ARGEnTiNA

    Practice!! xD

  • Thanks for watching :) For lots of players, it is easier to play while seated. You will see a lot of musicians in the recording studio recording from the seated position. If you practice seated, then try to play standing, the angle of the guitar can change and make it harder. Try to adjust your strap to keep your angle of attack the same.

  • TODDDDD!!! wher are u at man?? WE ARE WAITIN!!

  • Been busy in the studio, more lessons soon!

  • Todd, is it essential that your fretting fingers hit the strings dead on, on the "sweet spot" of your fingertips, if u know what i mean?

Like you can still get the string to sound regardless of what part of your fretting finger touches it, but for accurate high speed, is it essential that you become very accurate with your fretting fingers?

    Thanks Todd

  • It sure helps ;) If you hit outside the sweet spot, you can get a somewhat rude note that has too much buzz in it.

    Todd

  • dope guitar Son :D

  • Thanks :) It's a Minarik Lotus. I'm endorsed by Minarik currently and love their guitars ;) I added EMG's to it and love it even more now.

  • just a question...

i have short fingers but not stubby...

i kinda have a hard time in the range of the upper 12 fret board...

my hand arc is kinda stiff...

can you suggest any techniques to improve my self?

  • Nice work Todd! I like the fret inlay on that guitar btw!

  • Thanks :) I'm endorsed by Minarik guitars and they have been great! I recently put two EMG's in the guitar in this video and WOW.
