woops..this is SusieMc110..i had another screen name Nootsie Tutu..lol!!! Thats so funny..I forgot I had that screen name too!! But yes, I am loving Shellac! Thanks again!
Yes, I am STILL loving Shellac..besides he nail growth, it has held up great. A few hairline cracks here and there, but nothing bad. I am a hairdresser, so keeping polish on my nails is virtually impossible. I will go and buy the UV light and some polishes and start doing them myself. For sure! I am officially hooked! Thanks again..you're a sweetheart.
@NootsieTutu Thats great that it really works for you! My friend who does hair as well loves it since her hands stay in water a lot too. Thx so much for keeping me posted:-)
Hi! Cute video...I see that you said that Shellac can cause damage to your natural nails if you don't use the cuticle oil...why is that? Is it that they dry your nails out? I just got them done and I am loving it so far! I just applied some Avoplex cuticle oil to my nails..so we'll see. Thanks Lovely! ;O)
@SusieMc110 Hi there! Yes, Shellac definitely dries the nails out when you don't use the cuticle oil. The nails become dehydrated and you may notice white spots underneath when its removed. Sorry for taking so long to respond. Are you still enjoying the Shellac?
You should Try the Evolve Gel Polish (you can purchase on Facebook) i tried shellac and didnt like it. Evolve Gel polish Is my favorite. Its been 2 weeks and still looks perfect!!!! cures in only 30 seconds and they have 28 awesome colors!!
@holaja9 Thanks for sharing the info. I'll definitely look into their product. What about the shellac didn't you like? I know some people have said it makes the nails too thick or their bottles chip faster than two weeks.
thanks for the tips, if I knew it was going to take this much effort to get this crap off my nails, then I wouldn't have done it in the first place. Didn't last 14 days for me, it started to crack the first week and my nails cracked underneath the shellac.
@StephanySays Thanks for watching!! The soak off process is fairly quick but Shellac can cause damage to your real nails especially when you don't apply the cuticle oil every other day. I've heard a lot of people say that it didn't last 14 days for them. It doesn't last that long for me since my nails grow really fast:-( Happy you found the video useful!

@debrinabrina134 Hi!! Thanks for the compliment:-) I used a combination of black nail art polish and a Ginger and Liz polish. Here's the link to the tutorial (I did it on someone's blog for the holidays): socialitedreams(dot)com / blog - posts / gorgeous - holiday - nails - featured - reader(dot)html <----be sure to remove the spaces:-)
@AstroStar63 Hi! Are you referring to MMA (the illegal ingredient typically in acrylics)? If so, no it doesn't contain that ingredient. Shellac is good for very short nails. It adds a little strength but it's not made to give strength of acrylics or gels.
Love your tutorials . You seem so sweet. I just purchased all lthe things I need to start the Shellac. My first attempt with the polish was not good. The polish seemed to seperate on my nails. I removed everything and watched all of your videos and am going to try again
@ThenailPreistess Hi!! Yes, there are numerous beauty stores that sells it but if you're not a licensed technician, you won't be able to purchase from them:-)
Thanks for the instructions! I know you did a vid over a year ago on how to prevent nail bubbles, but is there any other way to prevent them besides using vinegar? And I like your hair and nails by the way :)
@hoodiewearing82 Thanks for the nice comments and for watching!! In addition to vinegar, using thin coats, and also turning off all the fans in your house works. Even if you are not directly under the fan, the air will still cause bubbles in your nails.
