If the atmosphere is unsafe due to speeding cars, parents won't let their kids out and then they stay inside playing video games (causing other social problems) or they won't leave the backyard (and then we wonder why they can't do anything or make logical decisions when they become teens.) Same goes for adults, obese, in need of exercise but driving (polluting) to the nearby grocery etc.

well, im only 14 and a couple of years ago when i was bout10 or 9 years old. my little brother was about 6 or 5 and he almost got hit by a car doing the speed limit of about 20-30mph. but lucky the car STOPPED within about half a foot from him, compared to a car that went flying by before the car that almost hit my little brother.
