  • nice fucking bike dude

  • you know it has a good engine when it starts up on a single kick and idles at low rpms

  • Kaw 2 stroke triple...greatest sound in the history of bikes. I'll take that chaotic wail over a farting harley any day!

  • get a tune up please. in the back of the carb manifold.... they are three holes, the one in the middle is suppose to be open all the way into the needle jet... .

  • Great bike the trips have one he'll of a power band

  • just saw it on american pickers 2 minutes ago

  • Who the hell works at a motorcycle shop, or for that matter has even ridden any motorcycle and said it didn't have a powerband? What an ideot. If everyone could vote for the stupidest person on youtube I think we would vote runescapeownsnubs.

  • first gear above?

  • I think it is really sad that 2 strokes have all but gone. The mere sound of a Kawasaki triple makes me almost weep for my youth.....

  • Part 1

Every engine has a powerband. Powerband is a discriptive of the rate of increase of the power curve until the rpm the power starts to drop. (as seen on a dyno run printout) A powerband can be a gradual hill, a hump, an agressive peak, or a combination. The misnomer with 2 strokes, is the "powerband" is usually "described" by the part of the curve when the power increses rapidly through the rpm range. This is prevalant with the Kawi 500s due to the semi agressive "porting".

  • part 2 2 strokes rely greatly on pressure waves in the engine to produce power. Which uses intake length, port timing and exhaust length and shape to control the "timing" of these waves. When these "waves" are out of "sync" power is low as the fresh fuel mixture is either being blown out the carb, or escaping out the exhaust port. When the waves comes into "sync" (specific rpm range) they work together to maximize trapped fuel mixture and power rises rapidly, This is what is usually....

  • part 3 mis-described as the "powerband".

  • these bikes are f***ing crazy!!! love it

  • Beautiful!!!!

  • Thats one clean Bike! I had a 1970 H1 back in the day, nothing compares to the Kaw Triples!

  • @spudaso Yamaha R6?

  • @ITUNESTER0408 never had any yamaha streetbikes, only kaw triples , I got rid of a cherry 74 H2 back in 86, worst thing I ever did!

  • @spudaso Great Bikes My Friend, Great Bikes.

  • ohhhh yea, memories! Love the powerband!

  • They didnt have powerband...

  • @runescapeownsnubs Every motor ever made has a powerband. Powerband is peak power at whatever rpm. like on my 175 you can tell the peak power is at 4500rpm.

  • @runescapeownsnubs your ignorance astounds me and you work at a motorbike shop!? I think they should fire your ass for being so ridiculously ignorant. I owned a 72 H1 and if you weren't hanging on once the rpm's went past 6000 the bike would be going solo without you because you will be on your ass sliding on the tarmac. Do yourself a favour and educate yourself before you make yourself into a fool on Youtube

  • @keswickian1989 When most people say the word powerband, The most common meaning for it is mechanical powerband which is designed on most performance engines to give a rapid increase in rpm at a certain peak. The suzuki H1 Has nothing on the engine which would rapidly increase the revs at any rpm peak. Perhaps you should hold them handlebars on your so called H1, oh wait you probally never even gotten hold of them handlebars anyways ahaha. keep dreamingg.

  • @runescapeownsnubs Who said anything about a Suzuki? If you viewed the above video you would notice that it is a KAWASAKI. As far as a powerband is concerned, the Kawasaki H1 500 2 stroke engine didn't develop it's maximum torque until it reached aprox. 6000 rpm's. After that the revs increased at a much faster rate until the engine peaked at 9-10000 rpm's when the torque drops off dramatically. Do yourself a favour and google "powerband" and the "kawasaki H1 500 triple". Pls educate yourself!

  • @runescapeownsnubs Well. then you're the dumbest mothafucken mechanic ever. or you probably just sweep the floors. you probably think a powerband is like a performance part. asshole. do some research before you talk shit over youtube.

  • BONER!

  • This is my all time favorite motor bike..wished i could find one in good codition..just love the looks and the sound of it !!! 5 stars brother !!
