Well this is so wierd to read about, I'm from Holland and I pity it that we didn't have a female president yet but I don't know why celebrities can't have an opinion about politics, what's the problem with that? I think that thing are turning over to old patterns again and they shouldn't, equality is better for us all
I agree. A celebrity's opinion is no less valid than anyone else's. Sean campaigned for Clinton this spring, and Obama in the fall, and showed a keen understanding of the issues involved.
I'd love to have a woman president, but I also think Obama is the kind of person we need running our country in the difficult times ahead.
Many people are intimidated by a strong, independent woman. I think Bill Clinton was a good, effective president, even if he couldn't keep his pants zipped, and I think Hillary Clinton would be a good president too.
On the other hand, I'd also be happy to support Obama if he were nominated.
I posted this because I like what Sean said about strong women. :-)
I saw this and I like Sean Astin. It cracked me up when he said, "As you know I was raised by a strong woman. I married a strong woman and we are raising (3?) strong women.."
and then Penn Gillette says, "I thought you were going to say you've had enough of strong women." or something like that. It was funny as hell.
It makes me sick that Sean is buying the hillary BS. I've come to decide that I would rather movie stars would keep their political opinions to themselves even if I happen to agree with them. Guys like Sean here or even Ben Stein, who was on the same show, lose something from me when they say something that is in my opinion stupid. Supporting hillary is stupid.
