  • this is my kind of love song. its mushy and screamy at the same time! XP

  • shut up comparing and listen to this awesome song...this is why i hate my fave artists covering classics..cus people bitch...lets just pretend its different song..for god sake...

  • nicee!!

  • Another great band from Florida that should have been bigger. The part of the song, I Will Always Love You will never sound the same after this version!

  • nice cover

  • nice cover! by the way adele's sucks

  • @Viking19190 Fuck people like you are idiots. Go and listen to the original and then tell us if it's ruined you dumb fuck!

  • @Hallucination The Cure is my favorite band, I know music like the back of my hand, you u2 loving douche XD What the fuck are you even doing here listening to an 80s band cover when you like u2? Go blow Bono, and it rhymes, bitch!

  • If you can listen to this and say it's better than the Cure's original version because it has more passion, you clearly haven't really listened to Robert Smith's beautiful vocals. They aren't just whining and mumbles. The song was written as a wedding present to his wife, you can't beat that kind of passion. Listen to ANY the Cure song, Robert Smith's vocals are seething with passion.

  • @MsLunaLullaby i totally agree with you! u.u

  • This pisses all over the original. more passion, more fire, better, stronger beats, singer sings, not mumbles or whines...

  • this pisses all over the original. more firer, passion, beats. a rock song. not a whining mumble..

  • I agree. You can't beat the original, but you can try. This is by far the best LoveSong cover I've heard, in my opinion.

  • sux ass

  • Original is much better but this.iis ok

  • totally better than the original; she has more passion

  • To everyone saying that a cover of a Cure song is better than the original, please go and listen to the Original again. You can't beat the masterpieces of The Cure. What Robert Smith and Simon Gallup create only produces beauty. Bands cover The Cure out of respect, not as a challenge.

  • ummm...this def beats the original

hello all she has to do is scream

  • Wow....

  • I miss you.(:

  • Wow, I really, really, REALLY like this song. But, it's as if she realized she had a beautiful voice and perfect instrumentals and decided that too many people would like it, so she screamed into the mic in order to make sure only people who like screamo or music no one else likes would fully appreciate.

I wish she didn't fucking scream at the end...

  • really good, i love this cover...

  • So did they cover adele or the other way round? Still amazing

  • @LovingThatTune98 Seriously? This song is originally by The Cure on the album Disintegration. It came out around '88 or '89. Adele was in diapers... Just saw in your profile that you're young...check out Disintegration - if you like this you'll probably like it as well.

  • Love this cover! The Cure have more feeling doing this song i have to say but i JOJ did a great cover :D

  • So fuckin great (y)

  • I love the original but this is really good. Jessicka's other band Scarling does a good cover of Radiohead's Creep as well. I love JOJ but I must admit, often they're covers are better than the originals.

  • 311 has a good cover of this song as well. It's been covered a lot. Like all versions.

  • Have to say they did a great cover for this song! But i didnt like the screaming part :( awell still a great cover and song :) This song is what i call beautiful

  • sthink of it as if you saw the movie, THEN read the book.... you like both, but you always think"wait they didn't do that in the movie" rather than " This movie doesn't follow the book"

  • someone (devil Vicky0 asked how can one like a cover more than the orig......Simple-

most people tend to prefer the version THEY HEAR FIRST. as a personal example, Bauhaus' cover of Ziggy stardust vs Bowies orig. i go w Bauahus... Same w Love and Roc. cover of Ball of confusion. I know most whom were teenyboppers in the late 90's prolly prefer manson's covers of just about everything(lol)...

  • its happened haha

  • Very beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!! magnificent version!!!!!!!!!! good job indeed! Congratulations!

  • Much better than the cure,s original arty farty pop version.!!!

  • @JustaScotsman JoJ is just plain better, and they do this song really well, indeed better than the original.

  • Orgasm to my earholesssss

  • I like this one better than the original : )

  • @DevilxVicky how can anyone label a cover version better then the original writet? f ed up man--the ORIGINAL is teh original art....there is no cover without the GOLD ORIGINAL! wow messed up minds stealing from others! thx! repent please thx loveugodbless, t and j kabbalah matthewshepard madonnalicious ps cause of emo screaming>? ridiculous! who needs the screaming tackiness!

  • I'm 42, die hard Cure fan from day 1..........fuckin love it. Great work :o)

  • Ah, this has improved my opinion of this band greatly. Splendid

  • Every cover she does she gives it that extra feeling in it

  • Nice

  • I prefer Voltaire's version.

Voltaire > The Cure > Jack off Jill.

  • @NitrOxHazarD Fuck yeah! Voltaire rocks! But actually for me it would go Voltaire > Jack Off Jill > The Cure... But all of them are great.

  • @CoolToobmovie how can anyone label a cover version better then the original writet? f ed up man--the ORIGINAL is teh original art....there is no cover without the GOLD ORIGINAL! wow messed up minds stealing from others! thx! repent please thx loveugodbless, t and j kabbalah matthewshepard madonnalicious

  • @KabbalahWestCoast Hey, I still love The Cure to death. They're one of my favorite bands, and I'm really excited for the album their releasing later this year. Lovesong (and probably all of Disintegration) is my favorite work by The Cure, but I'm still more of a rocker in spirit and Jack Off Jill appeals to me more. Plus, I really only got into The Cure after listening to the Voltaire version. Before I heard Voltaire's version, I had only heard the songs on Staring At the Sea.

  • @KabbalahWestCoast The point of a cover is that it's DIFFERENT. It becomes a new song when it's redone by a different band in a NEW style. And suppose someone did a cover of a shitty song that no one likes and makes it better, what then?

  • @NitrOxHazarD how can anyone label a cover version better then the original writet? f ed up man--the ORIGINAL is teh original art....there is no cover without the GOLD ORIGINAL! wow messed up minds stealing from others! thx! repent please thx loveugodbless, t and j kabbalah matthewshepard madonnalicious

  • i like snake rivers cover better it just... i dont know y it is just... it makes me feel better

  • I love Jack off Jill and I have all their albums on disc but, in my opinion:

Cure original > Voltaire version > Adele version > Jack off Jill version.

  • @stfugtfofgt how can anyone label a cover version better then the original writet? f ed up man--the ORIGINAL is teh original art....there is no cover without the GOLD ORIGINAL! wow messed up minds stealing from others! thx! repent please thx loveugodbless, t and j kabbalah matthewshepard madonnalicious

  • why is there picture of lions?

  • I like this version the best. When I listened to the others, it just didn't have the omfh I was expecting at certain parts. this has the nice smooth and high parts. Gonna make a version just like this, but in guy version ;D so we can give our gf's somethin for V-day

  • I've never heard this song OR artist before

  • One of the few acceptable and listenable Cure covers.

  • Robert Smith + Jessicka = The Perfect Couple.

  • The screams are perfect!

  • love this song, more than the original by the cure. jessicka really brings it to life !

  • Damn Jill..."that bitch" is the shit !

  • fuckitforgetitfeelitinsideyou.

  • Dear Ex-wife,

    listen to this song...

    Yours truly, your Ex-husband

  • Terrible cover. No emotion, then again, a woman could never convey the agony of the heart of a true failed Male romantic.

  • @JEMdev SHOW some respect to JOJ a womans agony is more then a man ever can handle then again u never well mature and get to feel how true hearts burn inside of love

  • @logixofsin 'Cause you know how much agony a man can handle? Hypocrites, you are one.

  • @JEMdev fail u no nothing about the female body and how they reacted SHOW some respect to JOJ

  • Nothing ever beats the original, but this is pretty damn good! =D

  • I like both versions, but nothing beats the original! <3

  • wow thers a 311 cover too...look it up..

  • baw, if anything a cover of this song would be better serviced by being even lower pitched and slower, with every slide of the bass being audible :V

  • This is balls.

  • I will always love the tori Amos version 1 forever but this chick adds her own awesome style... especially with the screams. She captures it the way i fell adds just as much emotion as the tori cover just a different way ant the way i would remake it.

Nice job with the pics ;P

  • I love the Cure's version, but this is beautiful too.

  • this is more beautiful than the original

  • @xkira22xx I don't see you presenting any evidence or sensible argument to support your claim, thus making me believe tbat you might as well fuck off and lick any local railroads.

  • DAT BASS

  • i always love when a band does a cover and makes it their own, and joj really made this their own...and the song alone is amazing

  • I think that's better here :D!

    Gary Numan - Love Song

  • I like how in parts she sounds a bit like it hurts her to sing this. I LOVE JOJ. <3

  • Great cover! xD

  • I love both versions, but I have to go with the Cure's more.

But there's something in Jessicka's voice which makes the song more interesting and beautiful.....

  • Of course nothing can top the original, that's for sure! But you have to admit that out of all the bands who have covered this song, JOJ did one splendid job! :D

  • Fair enough, but here's a metaphor for your original point: Homo sapiens would not be what they are today, if not for neanderthals. But does that mean modern-day neanderthals should be famous and celebrated? Of course not. Music evolves over time. I say JOJ's version is better because it's more developed. I've heard a lot of great Cure covers, but not many great Cure songs. Just because JOJ liked the original, doesn't mean I should. I don't bash Jack Off Jill, because I think they're *talented*.

  • @Unmourned Your theory based upon a theory doesnt apply the "two negatives make a positive" assumption. But do and say what you want and i will to!

  • Yeah, i just hate this song...but i rather hear JOJ sing it rather than The Cure...Jack Off Jill is way better than the cure!

  • Everyone has covered The Cure........Nuff said!

  • Every song by The Cure is better when covered. Just sayin'.

  • @Unmourned You're an idiot too. Witohut the Cure's influence a lot of great bands liek this would not sound the same you fucking tard.

  • @Grave187RIP13

Everyone says the exact same shit about Nirvana. It's what butthurt fans say when they have no other way to defend music that hasn't stood the test of time. Someone else would have eventually come along, and probably did it better. So what if it wouldn't sound the same? The Cure could do with being less sobby, bland and pretentious, and so could all the other bands who emulated them.

  • @Unmourned Well, I would honestly like to see you show your attempt at doing a better job then any of the Cures songs.

  • @Grave187RIP13

Fuckwit, I am not a musician but I do have ears. I'm not saying I can do better, there wouldn't be any point since Jack Off Jill already has. And even if I did, you'd hate it because it "would not sound the same." And because you're a cunt.

  • @Unmourned Actually I love this cover by Jack Off Jill. I don't care if it does not sound the same, sounding the same is not the point of a cover. But for you to bash the original artist is a bit moronic, since apparently even Jack Off Jill liked the original enough to cover it.

  • @Unmourned LOL thank you for that. Best laugh I have had in a good while.

  • @planexshifter

There was some hilarious Achewood comic about The Cure, but for the Life of Brian I can't find it.

  • Comment removed

  • @HelloxBritty - Actually this is JOJ. It would be cool to hear Gen sing this song but this is Jess. I own the Clear Hearts Grey Flowers album & it is the very last track.

  • @HelloxBritty What are you talking about? Youtube even recognizes this song as Jack off jill.

  • @HelloxBritty It's actually on their album so you would be mistaken.

  • @HelloxBritty Hahah ya you're an idiot.

  • I luv this song

  • its a song that almost all bands of this genre cover but i got to say they joj blew it out of the water my second fave version of this song first being the origonal

  • If you like this..Snake River Conspiracy did a DAMN good chick cover to this song.

  • Rocking song! I love that picture at 1:36.

  • This is a great version of the song! Also look up the same song from this artist named Voltaire, he is just as good!

  • *dances*

  • I like when Gothic bands cover songs like this ...

  • for being a fan of both bands i am satisfied

  • @meowlove6 Agreed Indeed!

  • this vers is really fuckin good, i really loved 311's vers but this is equal to it in my opinion

  • Not as good as 311's cover...by far.

  • cooool! check my version.

  • jack off jill<3

  • i miz the 1 i love :(

  • they did a pretty good job.

i mean, by far not as good as the Cure.

    but, pretty damn cool.

    kudos JOJ, kudos.

  • Listen to Snake River Conspiracy's version of this song...it is sooooo much better

  • I love the cure's version, but let's face it, there's just a certain something that the female voice lends to this. Makes it more haunting, more touching.

  • @psychsoamiii cures is bettr but i do like this version

  • @psychsoamiii Agreed. her voice is ethereal.

  • @psychsoamiii female cover yeah whatever cure wrote it and rules along with the lion cool thx loveugodbless, t and j kabbalah matthewshepard madonnalicious

  • awesme..reallyyy reallyy cool .great job..

  • O:! for me, the best cover, of course the original version by the cure is better but i like this too

  • The original version by The Cure evokes more sincerity and longing. But this is a pretty good cover, if anyone wants a more fun, outgoing version.

  • I love this version! x3

what about the band? they're still together?

  • @Whiskylita Nope. They disbanded 10 years ago. Jessicka went on to form Scarling, who are somewhat softer in sound, and more.. noise rock-ish? Still fantastic though. Robin went on to form TCR. Dunno what they're like.

  • i dedicate this song to you boy george (sam) , you know who i am i just thought id say whats been on my mind since i met you long ago now- i have always loved you and will forever xx

  • it's impossible to live up to the cure, i do not understand why people are still trying

  • my dad LOVES the cure ther hiz favorite band

  • actually also if u want to look into the history of "goth" u need to look into 70's punk because thats where it all started (batcave punk aka deathrock). the term goth to me is a little too romantic for such a naturalistic age i think the term darkwave is more appropriate. and whoever called jack off jill a goth band is wrong. their alternative rock and industrial rock

  • @kmfdm5 i meant say "non-naturalistic age"

  • this version sucks O_O

  • @esrocknene sucks like u???

  • the cure IS Gothic. STOP thinking about their "IMAGE". style has so little to do with goth, its all in the lyrics and the sound of the singers voice and the band. Start studying the medieval/dark ages and the Renaissance you'll be glued to Gothic subculture...i know i am. :D <3

  • @thisismyusername617 actually both look and music wise the cure was alternative and new wave. they weere never a goth band and if you want to look into goth the renaissance is not the time period to look in. you want to look into 18th literature to be more precise..romanticism.

  • @kmfdm5 Hm, you got a good point, forgive me i just started to get further into the subculture and i got a little gung ho...

  • @thisismyusername617 no need for forgiveness or apologies just sharing info is all

  • "love song" cover by Snake River Conspiracy is WAY Better

  • better than the cure

  • Its fun when gothic bands cover people like Robert Smith. Makes me laugh.

  • @PointlessPriest The Cure is goth...

  • @TakahisaShinoku No, but their imagery is pretty goth.

  • ppl stop dissing the song.if you like the other one then GO LISTEN TO IT!!!. OTHERWISE NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.PPL LIKE YOU POLUTE YOUTUBE WITH YOUR CRAP!!INSTEAD GO TO SOMETHING YOU LIKE!

  • I perfer the original song by the cure.

  • f0r a special s0me0ne...

  • a s0ng for my special s0me0ne.. ☼☼Ö

  • greatest cover ever!!!! love it

  • Im making a re-cover of this song :)

  • @trocotr0 Sweet, another bad cover for an over-rated song.

  • This is a good cover but I think Anberlin's cover is the best.

  • good song...BUT yeah, nothing touches the original.

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolsong cover the cure

  • jack off jill thats a dirty name..

  • Love both The Cure and Jack off Jill, but the original version is deeper and has so much more emotion on it

  • Yeah this cover is beautiful but not quite as deep and powerful as the original, its a little less soft and less reflective. But still very good.

  • true..but this version is not bad either

  • This doesn't suck. But, did you guys ever listen to SnakeRiver Conspiracy's version of this song? I almost can't imagine it any way else. Made me a TON of money dancing. Check it out. :) Varruukkasalt

  • Jack off Jill. Nice name. It's an alright cover...

(: I love The Cure, so I definitely love their original version muchmuch better.

  • How can you not like the Cure?! =O

    That's insane!

  • @caset15 Lol alot of people dont it seems.. *Sigh* i have to agree with you though insane!

  • @caset15 they're depressing.

  • @thePsychoticSatyr screw you

  • auto to tragoudi m eixe pei na to akousw enas poluuu poluuu agpitos m an8rwposss :D <3

  • k fantasou dn eisai o monos! :p

  • xaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxa

  • are you kidding? this version is crap compared to the cure.

  • @gurumushu u got it. its an alright song but crap compard to the cure.

  • @Hybrid933

    You're funny.

    /end sarcasm.

  • Her and Manson were just friends, Jessika was with Twiggy

  • 311 one is my fav

  • @juliojrc

Anberlin`s is way better then 311

  • DONT BE DIIS'N JOJ!!!

    they knew marilyn manson

  • Jack off jill? ROFL WTF

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • As far as covers go, it's not a bad version. Personally, it lacks the feeling that the song needs. I dunno, to me, the vocalist is singing the words, not feeling the words. Listen to Tori Amos' version of Lovesong, she feels the song, not just sings the song.

  • I love Cure covers <3
